Best Burger EverThis place is super popular with my friends. It's close to the school we all used to work at together so we ended up here a lot. They have great food and magical margaritas that come in a cute little mason jar. One is always enough for me.The habanero chicken isn't spicy to me but the flavors were good enough it didn't matter. The rice bowl surprised me at first since that's usually an Asian thing but every one I've tried has been fabulous. Bring on the cultural mixing! They have burgers here that taste like what angels eat. I mean, seriously, I don't even like burgers and I would get another burger from here. They're legitimately juicy and tasy and goodness have mercy I am craving their burgers and that's pretty much never happened before. My favorite of all time is the Loco Moco, which is such an off-putting name (crazy booger) but it tastes so good I just ignore the gross name. Their Chipotle Burger also comes with really good sauce. The Jalapeno Burger was surprisingly my least favorite of them all.I didn't like the Seafood Fajita Dinner but I know I've had Mahi Mahi and liked it before. I guess I like it better with some kind of sauce or something. It was seasoned and grilled but didn't have much flavor. One was chewy and when I mentioned it (TMJ makes it difficult to eat chewy stuff) the manager was super cool about it and brought me some extra shrimp to fix it. I liked the shrimp a lot but the rest of the Shrimp Fajitas just didn't do it for me. I would get more things with shrimp in them but I think I am done with the fajitas. The Chimichurri Shrimp is amazing with dirty rice and pinto beans. I loved mixing those together. Their guac is ok (not chunky enough for me). I think I prefer the El Diablo chicken in enchiladas and the grilled chicken in quesadillas. I also really liked the tequila lime chicken in the rice bowl moreso than in the nachos but hubby liked it in his build your own burrito done Maria's Way. The cilantro-lime rice is not surprisingly pretty boring by itself. Overall it's been an enjoyable experience every visit. To try:chocolate brownie sundaechurro ice cream sundaedeep fried cheesecake a la modedirty rice bowl (chipotle, grilled chicken)fajita flanksteak rice bowlmarinated chipotle chicken tacosmarias crispy catfish platterLoved- Beans: Pinto- Burger: Chipotle- Burger: Loco Moco Breakfast (fav burger)- Burger: Taco - Chimichanga: El Diablo- Chimichurri Shrimp- Chips- Dirty Rice Bowl: Tequila Lime Chicken- Drink: Azul Margarita (on rocks)- Drink: Peach Margarita (on rocks)- Drink: Prickly Pear Margarita (Frozen) (FAV)- Drink: Strawberry Margarita (Frozen)- Drink: Wildberry Margarita (Frozen) (FAV)- Enchiladas: El Diablo Roasted Habanero Chicken- Meat: Grilled Chicken Breast- Quesadilla: Grilled Chicken (FAV)- Quesadilla: Chipotle Chicken (not on menu, have to ask for it)- Rice: Dirty- Shrimp and Mango Ceviche- Tacos: Dos XX Beer Battered ShrimpLiked:- Drink: Huckleberry Margarita (frozen)- Drink: Prickly Pear Margarita (on rocks)- Drink: Wildberry Margarita (on rocks, went quick)- Enchilada: Chipotle Chicken- Fries- Latin-Style Egg rolls (best with green sauce)- Nachos: Tequila-Lime Chicken- Po'boy: Shrimp- Quesadilla: El Diablo Grilled- Quesadilla: Tequila Lime Chicken- Tacos: Chicken Maria's WayOk:- Burger: Spicy Jalapeno- Dessert: Tres Leches Bread Pudding- Dirty Rice Bowl: El Diablo - Drink: Margarita Azul- Drink: Maria's Loco Beer- Fajita: Shrimp (grilled)- Guacamole- Rice: Cilantro-Lime- Salsa and Queso together- Sauce: Roasted Garlic Sauce- Torta Sandwich: Grilled BBQDisliked:- Beans: Black- Beans: Refried- Dessert: Sopapillas- Drink: Blood Orange - Drink: Mojo Mojito- Drink: Rattlesnake- Nacho Fries: Tequila Lime Chicken- Queso- Salsa (alone)- Seafood Fajita Dinner (Mahi Mahi grilled)

It's ok. My wife and her friends love this place but I can't find anything I like here. I did like the taco burger I got this last visit. but it wasn't so awesomely amazing that I have to come back all the way out here to have it. tex mex is really not my thing. I like more authentic stuff. This place is like American American Mexican. Mostly American with like a liiiiiitttle Mexican.

A few friends and I visited here, it was a lot of customer but we didn't have to wait long for seating. The food was great. I had the chicken enchiladas, my friends had the porkchops, nachos and a steak bowl of some sort. The meat was tender for all of us. The margaritas . We plan on going back.

Seems that everyone decided to stop in Saturday before the R&B super Jam concert. Parking: large pot hole that definitely causes issues in the dark. Wait time: quickly seated before the rush of patrons came about 20mins afterwardsService: waitress kept missing up items ordered or forget them altogether. Had to repeatedly remind her of things when she returned. Cocktails: the online menu prices are outdated so if you look at cocktails beforehand there you will notice the difference on the restaurant menu. Despite this, I still chose the prickly pear margarita with sugar rim. The prickly pear flavor was noticable yet the alcohol was none existent. Same with all the other drinks ordered at the table ( 4/5 drinks were not prickly pear were also very weak. Another in the party also had same issue with their prickly pear).Food:guac definitely had no seasoning which did impact taste. We ended up requesting salt and limes to alter it. My latin grilled shrimp dirty rice bowl with added mushrooms was perfect. No complaints there. I would for sure order this again Ambiance: I appreciated the music wasn't so loud you couldn't hear. Well lit inside. Televisions present as well. Overall 3/5

I love the food here. The burrito bowl is always scrumptious. But I do have a complaint or a slight issue this time. Okay - let's talk about servers who don't write anything down. Sure, it's impressive...when they get it right. Often they don't. Honestly, I'm not impressed. I want to see you write down the order so that I have confidence the order will be right. So, our gal did the whole I-don't-gotta-write-nothin-down schtick. But I was doing a build-your-own burrito bowl and my son was doing a build-your-own burrito. Plus two other orders at our table - a cheeseburger and a Cuban sandwich. I had ZERO confidence that she could remember everything I wanted in my bowl plus what my son wanted in his burrito. I like a lot of fixins in my bowl. So I even asked our gal, would you perhaps prefer to write this down? She did not. So I ended up only requesting a few toppings to make it simple. But honestly, it ruined my bowl. I wanted alllllll the good stuff. She was nice. Food was good. But I truly feel like my bowl was ruined because I didn't have any trust she could remember everything. (Turns out our order was MOSTLY right, but not totally).

Great visit over the past weekend at Maria's. As I said in my last visit it looked like it was going to be a lot more crowded (Sunday afternoon during NFL and Memphis Tigers hoops on tv as well) but nope, not crowded and no wait at all to be seated. Our server took our orders, a couple of which were kind of complicated. And didn't write a single thing down. Everything did come correctly so okay nice impressive memory however it really only serves to make me nervous and worry things won't be correct. Our chips and salsa appetizer came just a couple minutes before the main courses did, so timing out of the kitchen was a tad off. This could have made for a crazy crowded table except that Maria's booths have really nice big tables with plenty of room. Very good food, both the chips and salsa and the main courses. I got a side salad with my Cuban, the side salad was YUGE. I ordered the salad with spicy ranch and that was a good salad dressing. My Cuban came with no panini lines so that means they must be using a plancha, ya tu sabes!. But my Cuban also came with no pickles. Dios mio de pinga! Drinks were never allowed to get empty, our server stopped by and got us all refills. All in all a good visit I do enjoy this place.

I was super excited to come here based on the reviews. However. My experience here was subpar. The restaurant was pretty empty with the exception of a bridal party in the back. We were arrived, we weren't greeted so we didn't know if we should wait to be seated or seat ourselves. My fiancé walked over to a server to asked about seating in a booth. Our server was pretty polite and friendly. I ordered a spicy margarita but asked for top shelf liquor- which I didn't get. (Not a big deal). We placed our order. Two catfish platters and a steak quesadilla. The food came quickly.JMO- both orders of the catfish platter looked burnt and smelled a little scorched. I taste a piece of the catfish which tasted too salty for my liking. They didn't like their meals but didn't want to complain. The tartar sauce taste was different....The quesadilla was plentiful but super bland. The steak wasn't seasoned.Maybe we chose to come at a bad time of day (late afternoon) but it didn't live up to the hype that I was expecting.

Outstanding restaurant? Surprised our group that the menu is so varied! From their chips with salsa, guacamole, and rich cheese to their wonderful patty met and great salads - excellent. This Cajun/mexican fusion cantina is not to be missed. We got to meet the general manager at our table - great , so welcoming and so well versed in the menu selections. We will definitely be back here!!

I use to love this place, Not sure what has happened, Did the other original cook quit? I always get the Chicken Tamales and they are normally super delish but the last couple of times I went it was horrible. I am not sure what sauce they are using now but it is very bad. My husband went for the first time after me telling him how good the Tamales were and he could not even eat them. He said they were the worst he has ever tasted and the lime rice and black beans were so bland. Had to always hunt down our waitress too. Will not be going back or recommending.
