Top notch food! They cook with perfection. It's expensive, but worth it. We order different things... but some of our favorites are the Vegetable Korma and Lamb Curry. The lamb is super tender and perfectly trimmed.I have no idea what is up with the negative reviews, but I assume that it is folks lack of experience with well made Indian style food.

Little strip mall Indian restaurant. Menu items are not labeled as vegan or not but the person taking care of us knew exactly which ones were and not. He (Bobby) helped us order vegan items from the menu. We got the challa masala and a veggie curry, roti bread and a couple of veg somosas and the vegetable fried rice. We got the lowest spicy because of a friend that cannot handle spicy at all. It's all prepared fresh since we had to wait 30 minutes for our order. Staff was courteous and knowledgeable. Food was good. Sadly , too late I found out they sell lamb which is one of the items I try to boycott. So probably won't come again

I came with my sister to this place since we were in the area. The reviews were ok.So we decided to give it a try.We both ordered the daal soup and curry chicken. One medium heat the other one, mild heat. And naan. The food in general lacked flavor to me. It was heat and no flavor. The daal soup had too many chunks of ginger. It kept getting stuck on my throat making me cough. Could not eat it. The naan was too plain. Just flour dough.But the worse?? It was the price plus the gratuity of 20%. Mandatory!!! As stated by the menu in the back with small letter that I did not see. Or was not informed prior to ordering. I had gave the waiter already $5 cash tip. He wasn't event attentive or graceful enough to deserve 20%. I was very upset. But I will never come back. If you go with a family of 4, expect to pay over $100 plus tip. Crazy!!!

The portions were excellent, the spice levels were on point and the food tasted great. It was our first time there, but it won't be our last. I had the Chicken Tika Masala with medium spice, think 3 out of 5. My wife had the butter chicken very mild. So that's a 1 out of 5, but there is still some heat. The jasmine rice was spot on, and the garlic Naan was delicious. Solid meal.

I was disappointed in the food but heard other customers saying how good it was. My main complaint is that they added mandatory 20% gratuity to the check (for 1 person) and then had a tip line also. If you aren't paying attention, you could easily double tip.

We hadn't been to Mantra in quite a while. So glad we came. Our food orders were unadventurous, by Indian standards: chicken korma for my wife, a chicken-and-rice dish for me, plus naan and raitha. We ordered our dishes "very mild." If you're at Kroger and buy your taco sauce in its "mild" version as you look to see whether they have an "extra mild" version, this is the thing to do at Mantra. I'm glad that (unlike some other Indian restaurants) they think to accommodate every preference, and don't presume you're interested in "suicide by spiciness." They ask on the front end--thank you.Manager "Bobby" and server "Sandy" were wonderful. Polite, welcoming, friendly. Our table service was first-rate.As to ambience...interesting. The room is much more brightly lit than some rivals (such as the also very good India Palace). The place is ultra-clean. I liked that the decor stayed well short of the corny faux-authenticity of many "ethnic" restaurants. Here, it's plain and pleasant. A great place for a date, or for a casual dinner with business associates. If I were to offer a small caution, it might be this: I hope you like Bollywood on TV...a trivial issue, all things considered.My prediction: You'll make Mantra one of your favourites! It's. surely one of ours

Excellent restaurant. The owner Bobby is super kind and friendly. The place is clean and very well organized. We have tried every Indian restaurant around. This is by far the best. Taste, freshness, spice, all of the interest you require. He uses actual white meat, and the portions are fair. If you are new to Indian food, or even a well seasoned patron, I recommend this place be on your list.
