This Malco studio is a great asset to the community. I can't believe this was my first time going. We decided to walk over after lunch on a Sunday afternoon. When I first walked in I was reminded of an old school type theatre. So, movie goers don't be surprised. During the afternoon the tickets were priced at $9. I think that was still a little pricy considering the prices at other places. It was cool. Great spot for those who are in the neighborhood.

This Malco location has to be my 2nd favoriteas it is a relatively small walk to restaurants Like Local Bosco's Bogie's & Bayou (read my reviews of these reataurants) without having to cross the street. Studio on the Square offers spacious parking for its patrons. It's also offers the Bar & Grill like some of their select locations (like Wolfchase Collierville or Ridgeway four) great consessions stand & quality service like a majority of their other theaters in the Memphis area.I like the fact this Malco will feature locally screened movies & some select releases you won't find at other Malco theathers. I want to see The View Within starring Millington localMario Reed in his documentary about his journey in life. Seating was very comfortable & spacious. Wonderful screen but not as impressive as their other locations. But doesn't take away from the movie going experience one bit. I will definitely come to this theater when I'm gonna have a big weekend with dinner movie & a live show afterwards. Enjoy the show. For showtimes and listings to this location go to www.malco.com or download their app to your device.

Here for a special screening of "View Within" and Mario Reed's story of courage and inspiration. As for the venue I always enjoy this neighborhood theatre that has a friendly staff with a nice prompt entry, it's a real cozy feel. They only have five screens, but they show a lot of independant films and they're really the only theatre in town that does that and the building itself is very nice. There is a coffee and alcohol bar where you can buy your beverages with plenty of food and there are even free posters. The walls are covered with murals of classic hollywood actors, actresses and movie scenes.I really appreciate this particular evening because they have screened this local and independent film, just nice!

OK So Let's Just Put This Out There. . . My (2) Top Awards Pics Won Big Time 1st Crack Outta the Box.I've only actually seen the Movies this week ~ before the GGs, I heard the Titles & Lead Roles announced on TV & Made My Decisions. Studio on the Square has a history of exhibiting the more avant-garde Movies that are usually not shown on the Suburban Screens. That has made me a Big Fan. Salute.

Although I forget its there, this is probably my favorite spot to see movies. There aren't a lot of theatres so it is small and kind of intimate. Always clean. Never really crowded.-Beer and wine sold at refreshments counter-No teenage riff raff on nights and weekends-Prices seem to be cheaper than other Malco theatres. $8 matinee shows.

One of the best theaters I have been to. I loath the big box multiplexes with dozens of kids hanging around. I love the little niche adult themed theaters and this is one of those. This theater is the perfect size with a bar and nice waiting area that includes and old school 1940's projector. The prices are reasonable and the seating is excellent. I really liked this place and it is my go-to theater in Memphis.

Great smaller theater. Usually has a good mix of blockbusters and smaller independent theaters. Has more food and drink recommendations than your standard theater- you can get local Memphis beers and cheese plates. The theater is usually busy, but not packed with kids and teenagers like Paradiso can get. Parking is free but can very tight.

Very artistis and eccentric theater. It is smaller then the other Malcos here but offer more, such as whine, extended snack menu, and variety of cafe teas and coffee.
