Magnolia the Room

I attended a birthday party here and was quite impressed. The decor was lovely - very elegant, with sort of an old world charm and architectural detail that I really liked. It would be perfect for a wedding reception or engagement party. The people that own Side Street Cafe, which is adjacent, own and fun this venue as well. The host at the party said she was happy with the service and how smoothly things ran, and that the prices were competitive. The website has rates and information you can review.

We had our Christmas Party here last evening and it was just "FAB"... The Decorations were B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L; The Food was "as usual" Fantastic; The Service was "Top Notch"... and the Atmosphere as a whole was Incredibly Warming! Had our Christmas Party here last year as well.... The Side Street Owner's are always accommodating and very gracious. Scheduling for Next Year's Party........

I would have to say 0 out of 0. I had a wedding reception there. We talked to her about prices and got a quote in paper. Afterward we went to put down the payment and somehow the price went up 10%. She said, "The printer made an error and printed the wrong number on the paper." From there on it was a nightmare. The service was slow, she wanted to charge a $300 corking fee out of no where. When we had already paid it. She says she only cooks for 50 people. We had a small wedding and they did not have a lot of food. We only had 24 people come to the reception and we ran out of food. When I asked her about it she said, "I'm sorry, but that was your limit." It was only a small fruit tray, some grilled chicken, microwaved stuffed mushrooms and cheese. Even the sprite and Sherbert punch was awful.
