two men sitting at a table

The food was very good but the waits were intolerable. I blame the management because they knew there was a convention of over 400 women staying there and it didn't occur to them to beef up the staff when they knew they were going to be slammed. Or at least they should have known and thought ahead. The manager herself was waiting tables to alleviate the painful 45 minute wait for lunch. And it's not like we could go anywhere else. We're all from out of town and don't want to start wandering downtown Memphis.Food was great, service, well, they did the best they could.

The service was great but the food was just ok.The only thing we had was the breakfast buffet. It was what you would expect from a hotel if you need something quick stop by...get the omelet best thing they have otherwise try out a place somewhere in the downtown area there are our several other places a trolley ride away.

Wow, I have by far have eaten in the WORST restaurant in Memphis!!! Save yourself the money, don't even try the food. Once I have been seated by the host I realized that I was in the wrong place! I should have driven downtown. :~( The big restaurant is dark and has a really drab decor. it looks like some crappy restaurant that would be found in some really small town. Once I was seated, I realized there was only one other person sitting there. I ordered the tomato bisque had a good texture and flavor but it was very salty. I should have seen that as a sign. Then I proceeded to order the ribs, the waiter came back with a 1.5 pound rack of ribs which barely fit on the plate. The fries were horrific too, maybe the cook doesn't have taste buds for salt. The food was sent back. I don't know why it didn't even phase me... I ordered dessert. You would think this is something IMPOSSIBLE for someone to mess up, huh? Nope, they messed it up too. You know the taste of milk that has been sitting in the fridge open? Yeah, I drank that milk and the key lime pie had the same taste too. I walked out of that restaurant disgusted and hungry. This restaurant should be on Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares! Seriously, they are the perfect candidate! Please, as a fellow foodie this is a warning for real bad food.

We ate here twice, two nights In a row. Must say something about the food. Last night, i ate a veggie burger. Meh. My husband ordered the Memphis burger and really enjoyed it. I also had a side Ceasar salad and it was great. Tonight, my husband had the pulled pork sandwich and said it was delicious. I ate the buffet and the chicken was amazing. The cornbread was to die for and the carrot cake for dessert was amazing too. Mix in all the sides and I left stuffed! Would totally eat here again!

We had the breakfast buffet on a weekday & enjoyed the convenience of a variety of foods. I was pleased to have fresh fruit & yogurt. The grits were cold, the eggs dry, the biscuits were hard & the gravy was a disappointment--too much sausage! The server was pleasant & attentive. All the components for an excellent meal were there but lacked quality.

Dinner with wife before a concert.Drink order messed up. Scotch with soda came to the table as Scotch rocks. They got it right the second time.Cream of spinach soup was tasty, but had dumplings in it. Huh? Who does that?Wife's salad and cheese cake were good according to her.My Reuben was awful. Corned beef was black. Unidentifiable as corned beef. Tablespoon of sour kraut at best and Russian dressing was missing altogether. The Reuben at Arby's puts this one to shame, and for less than 1/2 the price. We won't eat here again. I'll spend my $100 next time where I get good service and decent food.
