How can you not love Maggie's? Abundant selection of items. I love the socks with the witty sayings. If there is an item you require and they don't sale, they are great with taking recommendations. Pricing is fantastic.

This is a wonderful shop packed full of totally awesome stuff from top to bottom. I buy lots of things here including a top quality CDB oil, cream and topical that is a fantastic alternative to pharmaceuticals and crazy chemicals and they're very selective about where they source them from and have a terrific understanding of the origins and uses. If you're not sure see Brrooke who is a very special and caring soul who is a mid-wife who is extremely knowledgable and can tell you about all of the uses and applications of all of the different oils, plants, herbs etc. and she knows where they come from and how to effectively use them and that's so very important. and Brenda is also a special soul who knows her stuff and makes you feel warm and welcome. This is not some sort of head shop or hippie dippie tie dye paraphernalia new age tourist trap but rather it's a place filled of honest and real health and healing for the mind, body and soul operated by caring and smart people who are there to make sure you find what you're looking for and give you guidance if needed. I am a former Navy corpsman and paramedic and my wife is an ND (naturopathic doctor) and medical technologist and we are both Reiki practitioners as well as long time practicing meditators so we know that of which I speak. So when I say this is the real deal place to find the stuff you need to enhance your life and wellbeing it is coming from a place of understanding, practice and experience so trust me when I say, from my heart, this is a place to go to start and maintain health and happiness. If you are looking for spices I can tell you that they have floor to ceiling shelves around the room of every conceivable fresh organic jars for cooking and some of these are also used for health and healing, seriously great selection. If you happen to just be looking for some great gifts for yourself or others then there's half of the shop dedicated to all sorts of really nice and thoughtful items like the awesome incense that I always buy that smells just like the insides of a Buddhist temple with a strong yet gentle scent that calms and relaxes me, rea infussiers, a huge selection of organic soaps, hair and skin products or even that fun little item near the check out like my favorite the little pack of him with the Buddha on that says "just let that sh*t go" :-) Seriously there's not enough allowed characters in a Yelp review to go through all the great stuff they carry at Maggie's Pharm so you'l just have to swing by and check it out yourself. It's very easy to find right on Overtin square with loads of free parking and a lot of terrific shops and restaurants all around so make it an outing. This is seriously a great place to explore, relax and enjoy the smells and feel of an apothecary.

Maggie's Pharm was part of Overton Square when it was cool the first time. They stuck it out through the lean years and are still there with the resurgence. They have curated an interesting stock of merchandise with everything from holistic healing teas to Saints for Sinners painted medals and thick, warm socks in interesting patterns. They have a private parking lot in the back of the building, so parking isn't too difficult. Staff is eager and available to answer questions.A midtown gem well worth a visit for herbs, herbal teas and body balms among other things.

Ok I know what you are thinking. Now what does a 6'4 guy need with a place like this?! Well let me just tell you - This is the place to be- and then some. I'm a serious cook from scratch kind of guy and spices are my weakness. I woke up needing some fresh spices and I hit the streets. This place is an eclectic mix of homemade candles, soaps, teas and much more. I hit one corner and there it was: Mexican SeasoningHabernero SeasoningHungarian PaprikaHickory SaltI bout lost it. Margaret was a joy to work with and was super patient as I decided I wanted almost everything they have. I also snatched up some homemade soaps, shower tablets and so much more. It's a great place and this guy is a permanent customer.

I LOVE this store. I could stay in here for hours and find so many things I want to take home. They have the coolest novelties. I bought a really cute pair of socks once for a birthday gift from Maggie's and they were a hit. I also buy all of my oils and soaps from here. Great price and great products.

I wish we had half stars on yelp, but such is life. My first review of Maggies was a 5 star, and this update is much different. I have to be honest about my experience. The ladies at this place have convinced me that they rather not have African American customers, and that's more than ok with me. Although, I really love the products I purchase I can make my own. I rather spend my money with black businesses anyway. They greet you and seem pretty nice, but trust me the minute you go into the other part of the store BOTH ladies stand behind the counter and do nothing but look at you. It's very odd and unpleasant. I never said anything because I didn't have anything to compare it to. However, this time 3 white people came into the store after me and the ladies would still rather watch me like a hawk. They left the others to roam the front part of the store alone! I'm done I won't be spending a dime at Maggies. That's it. And I'm sure the sweet ladies would rather it be this way.
