Madina Market & Deli

An amazing Middle Eastern grocery store, with everything you need for your Arabic and Mediterranean recipes and beyond! The produce section has a great variety of fresh fruits and veggies. A wide variety of cold cut meats and cheeses, canned and frozen foods, and my favorite, the snacks aisle, packed with goodies. They also have a Halal butcher section with lamb, goat meat, and hard to find specialty items like hearts, liver, lamb heads, tongues and brains if you can handle that stuff (I love it!!). Last but not least, there is a small hot dishes section, I got there late and most everything was sold. I was able to buy a meat hot-pocket and some hummus, delicious! My new favorite grocery store!

You pick out all of your groceries and you stand there waiting for someone to check you out, no lines, no customers, just nothing. I left it all and walked out.

I have occasionally shopped here. However, when I walked in the other day, it smelled so awful, I had to leave. I could not bear the unclean smell. I cannot imagine buying food there. I hope they fix this because it is well organized and has some great products. The foul aroma was sickening.

I used to shop here quite a bit because the products and price were competitive. Not sure whether management changed; however, the last 3 times I visited the cost of the item I purchased was higher at the checkout then what is listed. At first I thought that maybe I misunderstood; however, on my third purchase, I picked up a box of spices which had a $1.99 sticker on it like the rest of them on the shelf; however, when I went to checkout it rang up $2.29. I looked at the sticker and showed the cashier the price and what she rang up and she stated that the price changed and they just haven't updated the stickers.I get I'm complaining about only $0.30, but honor the price that's on the boxes b/c if someone does a lot of groceries they are getting nickle-dimed. I'm cheap and stubborn so I ended up returning it. It's a $1.99 everywhere else :)
