There are metaphysical shops, and then there is Lucyja Hygge. I don't know who decided that metaphysical shops had to be dark and dreary and stink of sage, but that is not the case here. Lucyja, by the way, is owner Krzysztof's bad ass Mom, a Polish revolutionary who helped end communism in Poland. Hygge is a Danish word for comfort. Together with his wife, Maria, they have created a place that induces Hygge (hoo-gah). This is a bright, welcoming space featuring hand mined and polished crystals, essential oils, incense, teas, beautiful handmade jewelry, and a huge variety of herbs. This is a space of love and healing. Tell Maria what troubles you, and she will mix up a tea blend especially for you. They also offer a host of spiritual services, including Reiki, Crystal singing bowl healing & oracle readings, tarot readings, plant medicine workshops, yoga & Hygge after dark, sort of an open spiritual forum. This is truly a metaphysical & spiritual Mecca in midtown Memphis, an asset to our community.

Owners don't believe in COVID or vaccinations, mock people for wearing masks, and has no loyalty for costumers or their employees, and most of their inventory is from Amazon with marked up prices. Do not recommend.

This family owned business was a breath of fresh air. The cutest couple welcomed my daughter and I like we were apart of the family. This entire business is ran beautifully by people who want anyone that enters to feel at home. The energy was so positive from the entire staff and they'll love to tell you the background of how their business got their name. There is so much beautiful handmade merchandise that is also FAMILY MADE. While I was afraid she'd break everything, my 4 year old was encouraged to enjoy the store too! She loves it for the genuine polish candy they give her every time we go in and the stones she refers to as dinosaur eggs. This little spot in the middle of Midtown is a must visit in Memphis.

I am honestly beyond disheartened that Yelp is ignoring so many positive and genuine reviews for this business, and that the one negative review this shop has is the only one being considered for the overall rating. I'm hoping my review might help alleviate this in some way and provide an entirely different experience with the owners, employees, and business itself. Lucyja Hygge is a welcomed breath of fresh air for the metaphysical and spiritual crowd in Memphis. The goods are well-priced, sourced from local artists and craftsmen, and are holistic. There is an incredibly varied range of goods as well. Some examples include a wall of incense, handcrafted soaps and bath bombs, a whole room of loose herbs and teas, crystals of varying shapes and sizes, and imported European candies and teas. If it sounds overwhelming, you won't have to navigate it alone, as their staff is so helpful and will greet you as soon as you enter the door. They are knowledgeable about the crystals they sell, and will always be willing to guide you to what you are looking for or provide recommendations. Additionally, Lucyja Hygge provides spiritual services, such as tarot readings, astrological chart readings, and singing bowls. I gifted a friend of mine a tarot reading here and it was a wonderful experience! The employees are seriously some of the most friendly people I have encountered, and I love chatting with them whenever I stop by.I have spoken to the owners Maria and Krzysztof a number of times as I am a regular here, and each time they are so excited to talk about their goods and are passionate about the services they provide. Their story is incredible, and if you are ever curious about where the name of the store comes from, I definitely recommend asking them! The owners have wonderful personal experiences in the world of spirituality and the journey they have been on is moving. If you have time, please consider stopping by and dropping in, it is a hidden gem of the city and worth supporting. I am not one who often writes reviews, but I have been to this business many times since they first opened and have yet to have even a mildly negative experience. Each time I visit, I learn more and see something new in the shop. Please give them a chance, the sheer number of positive reviews on other platforms just goes to show how personable and passionate the owners and employees of this business are.
