Louis Connelly’s Bar

This bar is in our neighborhood and within walking distance to the west side of Central Gardens. At first I was skeptical, based on the previous bar in that location, and yet I was pleasantly surprised. The nachos are very tasty but a little inconsistent in serving size and availability. We have been there and had a huge portion, a small portion, and incomplete portion and also told there were no chips to make the nachos. The atmosphere is inviting and eclectic and FREE of smoke. It is becoming an interesting neighborhood spot to drop in and chill after work. Management just needs to work out a few kinks in the menu offerings and consistency...

Great time. Pisco. Nachos. Vibes. Pool table. Just the right amount of crustiness. Solid beer selection. Excellent value to price ratio.

The food is awesome. The people are totally cool and the vibe is just great. I've been there three or four times already and every time is really cool. People are nice and the food is good.

Was just at this bar and had a great time. Our Christmas plans fell through and we were stuck in the city unexpectedly. Most other places closed of course. This place was recommended by the desk clerk at our hotel. Great vibe... Live jazz band playing. Bartender was fun, sassy, and very professional. Best cocktail I have had in a long time, the "upper middle class". Doorman was very fun and professional. Bartender had to deal with a problem guest while we were there but both the doorman, owner, and support staff handled the issue professionally and quickly. The people listening to the band never knew it happened, lol. Real classy place but it's got that old school neighborhood blue collar dive bar feel. If you go after around 9 make sure you have your physical ID with you, vbe prepared to go through their quick, but polite security check. It gets crowded after 11 or so but still fun and fast service. Good food, great beer selections as well. A Memphis visitor must do place for sure.

Incredible vibe at the bar. Great service and delicious food. I had the nachos and the burger. Both were phenomenal. Kitchen closes at 2:30am so one of the only spots to serve food late night. I was there on a weekday and a lot of people came in. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. Would recommend to anyone - local or visiting.

Really cool neighborhood bar spot. A nice place with nice people. The neighborhood needed a spot like this
