Fantastic! Muy bueno! Excellente!! Si verdad!Here in Jackson visiting a friend and quickly got tired of eating too much bbq. Needed some Mexican comfort food. We all ordered the same thing. The Carne Asada tacos. 15 bucks you got a plate of rice and beans (arroz y frijoles) , and 3 huge tacos. Put it this way, I was only able to eat 2 tacos. Carne asada heaven forsure! Super generous with that meat! Thank you.Hands down the most decorative Mexican restaurant I have EVER been to. The amazing colors are awesome throughout the restaurant, so obviously +1 on the decor and vibe. To all my So Cal friends, think of El Torito, then add crack hahah. Lol. The server we had was awesome! Super on point and seemed to always be there when you needed something. Not that we needed much. We were content just stuffing our faces with that asada!! Lol The service was rad despite the fact that the restaurant was PACKED! Being in the South I forgot this is part of the Bible belt and Sundays people DO CHURCH! after church the restaurants get packed! Yet, despite how busy it got, everything service related was super on point. They didn't skip a beat!What a great find out here in Tennessee!Going out to lunch after church seems to be a thing, and out here in Tennessee, it's totally a thing!

I've always enjoyed this Los Portales the best but tonight was not that good. I got chicken fajita nachos and had hardly no chips and cheese. Mostly onions and tough chicken. The taste was not the usual great taste. Maybe they have a new chef but it was disappointing.

What's not to love??? This Los Portales is by far the best location in the Jackson area!! The food, very dependably, is of superior quality! There is tremendous variety on the menu, and everything that we have tried over the years has been great! The servings are large, the food always is very tasty, and it seems that high-quality ingredients are used. The service (from hostesses to wait staff to cashiers) very consistently is wonderful - and everyone is very friendly and polite. Oh, yes!! I MUST mention the decor! The general design and decor are amazing, with the decorative items coming straight from the Jalisco region of Mexico! Beautiful!! On each visit, we feel that we are seeing new items of decor! Furthermore, special effort by the staff is made to decorate for seasons and holidays, and the Christmas trees each year are beautiful!!! Great food, great staff, and great ambience (all indicating great management, Joel!!) contribute to a consistently delightful dining experience!! Once again, what's not to love???

The food is wonderful and the service is pretty good for these days and restaurant it's self is beautifully decorated on the inside.

Came here while road tripping with my friend who's from Jackson! Her family insisted that we try this place for dinner and I cannot say that I am upset with the recommendation. I had the rib-eye steak con camaron which came with a bed of rice and beans. The rib-eye was well seasoned, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The creamy sauce on top was an excellent addition to the dish.We ordered take out and I stayed in the car when we picked up, so I can't speak on the staff and the atmosphere of the restaurant much. But I will say that the food was ready when we arrived within the time they stated on the phone and we were able to pick up very quickly.

Delicious food. My family loves going here. There is truly nothing on the menu bad. Okokok the cactus leaves I did not like, but the rest of the dish was yummy. The staff is quick, attentive, and personable. Always a great fun experience.

Great food and atmosphere!! Always fast and accurate! Very friendly and helpful. The fajita bowls are the best!

I'm shocked to see they have only 2 stars. My husband is 82. He said it was the best burrito he's ever had in his life. The portions were substantial. The staff was friendly the atmosphere was nice and we enjoyed a great meal with friends we'd travelled thousands of miles to see. I'm sorry I didn't get pictures.

Great place! Clean! Every item I have ordered is tasty! The Service is awesome! Very aware if you need a refill of chips or drinks. One of my favorite places to eat!

VERY RUDE. Walked in at 8:45 and open sign on. Was told they closed kitchen at 8:45. I said you're open sign is on and you do not close to 9 o'clock and all I want is something for myself and very simple . Hostess said sign is not now as just turned it off. Rude and not appreciative. I spent a LOT of money there the past year.NO MORE
