Lorado Grocery and Grill

Had a patty melt and salad. It was great. Picked up a 12'er to take back to the house; it was very convenient.

If you eat here during the height of lunch time, expect to wait about a half hour to receive your food. My friend and I found our hamburgers to be delicious. The sides of french fries and breaded fried okra were also good.I will probably return.

Walk up to the counter, pick up a menu and order what you want. Then pick your table and wait for your order a few minutes. I had probably the best 1/2 pound hamburger I have ever had. The juices were literally running down my elbows. It was really good. A classic American burger. Go out to the country and try one.

Ok guys I am sure that I will take some flack from some folks over this one... and I can understand.. my husband and I went over the weekend after reading reviews online and understanding that they had received the "best burger" NEA award. So we made the 40 mile drive on a crazy curvy backroad, we got there and the place was packed. Went inside and had a short wait to be seated. I have to admit I was a bit confused at what kind of place it wanted to be, a convenience store, a bar, or a Restaurant. The smells were really yummy, the atmosphere was great, the music even though it was not bad... it was very loud. My husband said "don't get mad if I have to yell for you to hear me". I looked at him and said..."what"? (Haha)So, we were seated and given a menu . Since it was the weekend we got to order from that part of the menu.. it was around 630pm I had ordered the half chicken, Mac and cheese, and baked potato with butter and sour cream. My husband ordered the "stacker" burger and fries... . The waitress came back to the table and told me they were out of the chicken and the Mac and cheese so I went with the pork steak and backed beans.. we also ordered the fried green tomatoes. Those were not a mistake at all the only complaint that I have with those are that they were too hot... because I couldn't wait to get them in my mouth... haha but once they cooled they were perfect. The ranch dip was out of a bottle, and the tomatoes tasted great without the dip.We got our food my husbands burger looked really good and the seasoned fries looked nice as well it was just there wasn't very many of them. It looked like there was some left in the fryer an someone said oh yeah that's good take it. My pork steak and beans and potato came and it look yummy. I went to open my potato it was hard.. like it was baked put on a shelf and then microwaved when it was ordered. A bit to long ... it was cold in parts of it.. the butter didn't melt I had to mix it in just to help it along... not good guys. I don't like to complain because I am afraid that someone might take it out on my food... haha. So I made the best of the potato thing. The baked beans I loved... thick meaty, tangy. You could taste the bell pepper the onion... very good. The pork steak was delicious... very thick, nice flavor, smoky not dry at all and very tender. Over all very good. My husband's burger was pretty big I tasted the hamburger meat it was beefy tasting.. and gone very quickly (no picture) that's how quickly... so to wrap this up it is not a bad place to eat the food is pretty good , but to be honest there are places closer to us that has things that we like much better. If you are close to this place you should definitely try it... but to me the drive is not worth the reward... sorry guys.k

Ordering food is kinda chaotic. One print out for everyone to share. I had a burger. It was over cooked. Bun was just a basic bun. Fries were under cooked. It took about 25 minutes to receive our food.

I think I just had the best bbq sandwich I have ever had. So so good! Hubby had the fish and it was perfectly cooked. We will be back!!

We eat a burger here on Tuesday (split it in half!!) And have fish here on Saturday afternoons Y'all... I honestly haven't found a better, bigger burger round these parts - prices are fair - especially considering the portions you get !They also have salads - lunch specials during the week, cold deli sandwiches, PIZZA, chicken wings, Philly cheese steak sandwiches, and much more!Haven't had anything bad on the menu yet !The wife loves the fried mushrooms *They do have a small selection of groceries that might save you from going to town - And for your critters - they have feed & bales of hay !

Food great . Friendly service. Clean restrooms. Country food with large portions. Great sweet tea

Good is always fantastic. My family loves visiting Lorados on a Friday night. The smoked ribs and burgers are our favorite

Imagine it's 1998, and you are sitting with your grandpa at his favorite diner, the burger comes and life is great. That is what came to mind when eating at Lorado's today. The burger was HUGE and tasted amazing. Real beef taste, not like the typical fast food burger you get, this actually tasted like beef. The burger was real good. It didn't come out in 2-3 minutes, and that's ok. I could tell it was made to order, not made in advance. Best burger around, hands down.
