What a great little treasure just North of Dyersburg, TN. A friend recommended Lock's Store/Macye's Grill, so my husband and I made the 45 minute trip tonight. Check them out on Facebook. There are instructions for text ahead seating, which I strongly recommend. We did text ahead and were seated as soon as we walked inside. Our waitress, Sandy, was wonderful!!! The other employees were all super nice and they all made sure we were taken care of. Let me apologize now for my lack of pictures with this review. I did get some of their pics from FB to show the inside of the restaurant. We got so busy talking to our waitress and looking at the fun decor inside the restaurant and I failed to take food pics. We ordered the fried mushrooms as an appetizer and they were good (crispy on the outside and really juicy on the inside). My husband ordered the fried fish and he commented that it was some of the best fried fish he'd ever eaten. The seasoned batter was on point and the fish was not greasy at all. I got the hamburger steak with a loaded baked potato and it was delicious. Neither of us could finish our meals, so we came home with a to go box that my 16 year old son devoured when we got home...lolThe back of the menu has the history of the restaurant and I enjoyed reading about it and looking at pictures of the original building that were hanging on the walls in the front waiting area. Remember to text ahead. Text your name and how many are in your party. They'll text you back the wait time and ask if you want to be added to the list. Remember it's not a reservation. Text ahead option is only available during hours in which we are open.Text number 1-731-445-2387Thursday 3-9Fri and Sat 11-105997 Millsfield HwyDyersburg, TnTo go order number 731-285-5335Put this place on your list of Must Visit Restaurants and I assure you, you won't be disappointed!

Our first time back since the fire. The place is really nice, and just as busy. The service was good and of course the food was on point. If you looking for nice county cooking, this is your place. We will be back....

Wow, we had cabin fever and decided to try out this place. My wife saw their page on Facebook and it looked interesting even if it was an hours drive from our Hacienda. It was WELL worth the trip. We will definitely be going back. Friendly, attentive service by several workers. Nice nice folks. Macey, the owner came by our table to make sure we were happy and being taken care of. I ordered the one piece catfish. Man, I haven't had catfish that good in decades! Crisp, not greasy, with a flavorful seasoned flesh. Hushpuppys had that delicious cornbread taste. Corn on the cob drowned in butter and very tender. My wife got the 12 ounce Ribeye and it was cooked to perfection and tasted fantastic. In fact let me save a little time here and just say, EVERYTHING we got was superb! This place is out of the way but we'll worth it. An oasis in a desert of fast food or chain restaurants, Lock's Store is unique and outstanding. Wide assortment on the menu too. Burgers, pizza, seafood, steak, home-cooked breads and deserts. Be sure and call first on the weekend for seating, they said they get real busy and I believe them.

Our food was hot and delicious. Service was ok. We had to go find some to get bbq sauce. But that being said all other tables had condiments on table. I wonder if ours didn't due to the fact table wobble so bad. Would definitely recommend and will be back.

1st and last time wish I would have never been to a restraunt that people have raved Abt that was so awful. Went in ordered 1/2 slab of ribs with mashed potatoes, and corn on the cob, then my wife who has food allergys want a simple hamburger. Nope it's marinated (they don't know in what at all) so she asked well what isn't marinated was told a grilled chicken said they would tell the cook no seasoning, plus got a baked potatoes, and also corn on cob. While we were waiting we got a bread to our table well needed to be cooked more gummy wasn't the word. Well the food came looked at the chicken, it was a processed chicken cut into it watery not real chicken at all took one piece that was that, ate the potatoes that had a rotten piece of baked potatoes abt a quarter size. Corn was bland loaded it with salt and the butter spread. Now the ribs well if you have no teeth they are for you. Whether they are boiled or rewarmed on a grill with membrane intact we don't want anyone who is wanting real ribs (not unsalted dry rub but flavorless and the sauce the mild was watery so no help at all). We mentioned abt the chicken to the waitress she saw nothing was eaten other than the first bite - she apologized; we asked for the bill when we went up to pay with tip would have been 50.00 for processed food basically. Mentioned I didn't even eat the chicken and that was 14.00 so the lady took off the chicken and only charged for the baked potatoes and corn, Rib dinner and 2pepsi with a 20%tip came to 34.00. Go to Grecian Restraunt all the time even off menu they know what food is marinated in. Please for the next customer one should read the packaging it comes in for customers (since it seems everything is processed elsewhere).

Just had my first meal from Lock's and it won't be my last! Placed a to go order as I knew the place would be packed and we were hungry. Ordered the smoked pork steak, baked potatoes, white beans and fried corn on the cob. Pork steak was huge so we decided to split the entree. We were stuffed after eating half of the steak. Baked potatoes were gigantic and could have split those. White beans and corn was delicious. This restaurant is fairly close to my home so the 25 minute predicted time was perfect. They were bagging my order when I went in. So glad we finally tried them out. We have never heard of anyone being disappointed with the food or service. Just need to see how many other wonderful meals I can eat from there! They definitely deserve 5 stars

Okay, here's the lowdown ... my "review" of our experience:First, there were 4 of us. This place is an hours drive from where we live, but we saw it on Facebook and it looked inviting! We arrived about 3:30 on a Saturday. We ordered two appetizers to share - fried pickles and "onion strings" (which were not onion strings, but rather, onion petals). Both were very good, although I would've preferred actual onion strings. The only "ding" in the dining whole experience was that the entrees came out within less than 5 minutes of the appetizers, which means we'd barely had time to get started on those before the food came, so they sat and got cold as we turned our attention to the main meals, so that they wouldn't get cold while we ate appetizers. Then we (my husband and I) ordered the 1/2 rack ribs dinner to share, knowing that getting half full on appetizers would mean neither of us could eat a full meal by ourselves. Not to mention that it came with FOUR SIDES!! A potato (or fries) plus your choice of three more sides!! MORE than enough food for even two people! The ribs were delicious, needing no extra sauce, the baked potato was perfectly done (not undercooked as you so often get!), the baked beans were delicious, best I've had in a long time! The other two sides we ordered were "fried corn" and buttered corn. We knew the fried corn would be on the cob, but didn't realize the buttered corn was also on the cob, otherwise, I wouldn't have ordered that. But it was good, if you like corn on the cob (which I do, just wasn't in the mood for it that evening). They serve a little mini loaf of bread before the meal. Only one per table, instead of one per couple, so it was only enough for each of us to have one piece each. One loaf per couple would've been better. It was super soft and fresh, warm from the oven, with strawberry butter, which I loved, but the others preferred plain butter. Additional loaves are available for an extra charge. My sister got the bbq pork plate, also with 4 sides, and said it was very good. Also said the hush puppies were good, too. Brother-in-law got the all-you-can-eat catfish dinner. First plate came with FIVE pieces of fish, which looked delicious, and he said they were very good. Also said that that portion filled the bill of "all he could eat!" Big portion of fried okra, that he said was good, too. Don't remember what his other sides were. Sister took a large portion of her bbq plate home for another meal tomorrow and ordered the cherry-pineapple dump cake, warm with vanilla ice cream on top! Said it was delicious! They serve Coke products, rather than Pepsi, a plus in my personal opinion! The service was very good. We had one main server and the other servers pitched in and helped whenever we needed anything. A young man and a lady brought our food out and stayed there long enough to make sure we had everything we needed, not just a "drop & run" like we've had at a few places in the recent past! Hostess dropped by a couple of times to make sure we had everything we needed. She also thanked us for coming in and invited us to come back again, when we got ready to go. We were all pleased with our experience and agreed that we'd gladly go back someday soon!
