I have had a lot of Old Fashioneds. Lots. We scored two seats at the bar in the lobby of the Peabody right after the 5:00 duck march. I regret not recalling our bartenders name, but he was fantastic (management if you are reading this he was serving at 5:00 on Friday June 24th).I ordered and Old Fashioned and he asked what whiskey I would like, I asked what he suggested, "Jack Daniels Peabody Select, it is a single barrel." I took his selection. He proceeded to make my wife and I the perfect Old Fashioned, muddled cherries and oranges to release all the flavors, but not turn them into mush, a double shot pour of the Peabody Select and a splash of soda. Once served your drink, you look around and you are in an beautiful, iconic hotel that takes you back in time. A great place to have a cocktail, and what a great cocktail it is.

We enjoyed drinks in the Lobby Bar At The Peabody to kill some time before the duck march ceremony. The drinks came with a cute rubber duck in them, which was fun. We shared a lounge table with another couple as it was very busy right before 'duck time'. The waitress was a little stretched between tables. As for the Duck March...'An overrated tourist trap' is how I would describe the Peabody Ducks experience! Still, it's a unique 'Memphis' experience and something us tourists must do!By the time we were finished with our drinks, we made our way to the balcony overlooking the lobby, where we squished in between other onlookers for an average view. After some pomp and circumstance favoring the small children seated near the elevator and fountain, the ducks marched out of the fountain and into the elevator, on their way up to their 'house' on the roof of the hotel.Afterwards, we made our way to the roof to see where the ducks live and for views over Memphis. All the elevators were pretty clogged after the ceremony, so it took us some time to get up there, at which point we only had a few minutes on the roof as it was going to be closing. The views are worth going up there. On retrospect, I wish we'd gone to the morning ceremony where the ducks march INTO the fountain and the light on the roof was better. If you're tight on time in Memphis, you could skip the duck march experience. We did however, enjoy our drinks at the lobby bar and generally wandering the hotel and gift shops. Helpful?

Amazing atmosphere with excellent service. Both bartenders were very knowledgeable and worked together to make sure we were taken care of. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous!I had the old fashioned and it was very good, my wife had the Lucille. Both were excellent. Great place to unwind and grab a drink!

The Peabody lobby bar is an easy, drop-in location with a relaxed vibe. My husband and I stopped in several times across the past few weeks, and each drink we had was solid. Above and beyond the drinks and the comfortable atmosphere, the service has been reliably attentive. Avoid the late afternoon duck march if you don't like crowds.

A place to see ducks, and a place to be scene in the evening. Classic cocktails, and a LOT of Jack Daniel's. Energetic noise level.

This is an absolutely charming spot to kick back and enjoy a drink or a snack. As the name suggests, it's smack in the middle of the hotel lobby which is gorgeous. There is an actual bar with a counter but you can sit at any of the many tables spread throughout the lobby. It's really more of a lounge than a bar and it's completely family friendly.Speaking of families, if you're interested in seeing the march of the Peabody ducks, you should grab a table about an hour before their forced marches (11:00 a.m. and 5 p.m.). The lobby will be filled with children during those times so grab a table on advance, if you can. They offer a few desserts here but primarily cocktails and they are well-made but pricey. You also get a complimentary snack tray with almonds and wasabi peas.Jack Daniels is featured prominently on the drink menu and they even offer a Jack Daniels flight (which I recommend).Don't forget to explore the gift shops and second floor of the hotel while you're there. It's a historic spot and very interesting. You can also go on the roof and check out the ducks' home.We came to the bar twice and our servers were excellent on both occasions.Highly recommended.

What a beautiful place. I sat at the bar and made friends immediately! Ha! I had to get my little rubber ducky, so I had the signature drink. Wry good. I ordered two desserts. Key lime pie and chocolate Bomb. Key lime was ok. More whipped cream than filling. The chocolate bomb was fantastic. It had layers of cake crunch and chocolate. Will have that agin for sure.

Our favorite part of our trip to memphis. Such great service, unbelievable drinks and just all around a good time! Only regret was not making dinner reservations in the peabody. The ducks were so cool and the entire vibe of the hotel is just so different

This is the best little spot in Memphis to grab a fancy drink! In the lobby bar you can watch the ducks splash in the fountain while enjoying a nice drink and a snack. Most drinks are in the $8-15 range but they do offer more expensive full bottles of wine, champagne, and top shelf liquors. Patrons can sit at the bar or a table with a server. They do offer non-alcoholic drinks as well and kids are welcome to sit in the lobby bar with adults. They offer non-alcoholic mocktails, coffee/tea service, juice, and soft drinks.
