We chose Livingston's because it was close to where we were staying, ended up going back a couple,e of times because the place was fun and the food was good.We met Jack, the owner, and found him to be a man who loves his customers and wants them to be satisfied, he obviously loves this restaurant as well. The 50's soda shop decor is fun and the place is roomy and clean, not crowded at all; that's always a plus.Waitresses were great, food came quick enough and everything was delicious; don't forget to leave room for a piece of pie...delicious as well.

The food here is very good, and I have stopped on occasion after doing good on tests to get a nice breakfast treat. It is fresh healthy food and makes me feel good to eat. The diner also had a cool ambiance with a vintage vibe. If you do get something to go make sure they give you everything you ordered - they have forgotten my toast before. I always get the caramel latte (delicious) and the breakfast bowl (i replace the bacon with hashbrown).

We were having a rough time trying to find a place to eat along the I-40 outside of Brownsville. It was Sunday late morning, and most of the places we pulled up on Google were either closed or no longer existed. We weren't trying to be particular. We just wanted a sit-down place that wasn't fast food. Finally, after the 8th, no go, we stumbled upon Livingston's Soda Fountain Grill. Just in time, too. It was going to close in less than an hour. The place is cool inside. It has a 50's vibe and is very clean. The servers were nice and looked fairly clean themselves. Our drink and food orders were taken quickly, and we were left to enjoy conversation. Those grandkids of mine seem to always have something to say. We were talking about how the next eclipse, for which we were in this part of the country for, won't be around these parts for another 100 years. Which prompted one of them to say, "Sucks to be my grandkids." We all had a huge laugh. The laughter drew an older gentleman to our table. He introduced himself as Mr. Livingston, and he proceeded to talk us up for like 10 minutes. I guess you've got to expect this type of thing when in the South. He was a nice, well-mannered Southern gentleman. It never occurred to us while in conversation that he said his name is Livingston. We asked the server if he's the owner. Naw, she said, he's only the mayor. LoL!The food was great! I had the French toast. It was buttery delicious. The one whose grandkids are going to suffer had the Eggs Benedict. She gobbled it down in what appeared to be two bites. In actuality, it was more like three. There was a burger and a club sandwich too. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their choices. The prices were a bit steep for lunch, but the food was top quality. You get what you pay for, and we paid for what we got. Quick Tip: If you're sitting waiting for your food and an amiable fellow stops at your table, tell him that you don't live in his district. He's just fishing for votes.

Livingston is going out of business at the end of this month. I was told the owners were retiring. Hope someone buys it.

Being the best in town doesn't make you great. We were a party of 2. There were Open tables for 4-6. No lunch rush behind us. Told we would get to enjoy a 10 minute wait for a booth. Weird flex, but okay. Waiting on our food took a little while. When it arrived the French toast could not be described as hot or even warm. The same was true with my hashbrowns. Clean dining area and our waitress was very polite, when we had the fortune of her presence. Parking is designed for compact cars only. A truck will go line to line. However, that's the city trying to be clever, not the restaurant. Beignets are only available on Sundays. The rest of the menu is standard Americana diner. I would only return as a matter of convenience.

We went there with six adults and five children. We were seated promptly in a room that was very comfortable. The children had fun watching the train come around above their heads. Service was very friendly and quick. I'm not sure what everyone else ordered but the plates were stacked high and nobody left hungry. I opted for the Marshall Fields open face sandwich. It was simple but delicious. My husband got breakfast with eggs, sausage, hash browns and gravy. Everyone at the table was happy with their meals. Unfortunately we were too full to try their fountain desserts. The ambiance is interesting and a fun place all around.

Food was excellent. Service was great. And the ambience was exactly as expected. The young man who made the milkshake & delivered it was so delightful. His smile was infectious.

Stopped in here for lunch on the way from Jackson to Arlington because it was recommended and although it was kind of hard to find it was definitely worth it!! The ambiance was super cool and my ten year old especially loved the overhead train, old fashioned soda fountain and real juke box! The servers and employees were all awesome.. very friendly and helpful! As far as the food, it was top notch!! The warm pimento cheese was delicious and by far my favorite! We also loved our chocolate root beer floats! Omg! It is a MUST visit if you're anywhere nearby!

This place was situated in a neat little town in Tennessee and the weather was perfect, so we could sit outside on the restaurant's patio. It's the coolest looking diner with an instagram worthy interior. Our service was great, the girl was really nice. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered a pimento burger with candied bacon and a brioche bun along with a latte and everything was perfect. I highly recommend!

Stopped into this place for my lunch break and I'm glad I did! Definitely want to come back to get some ice cream when I'm in town again. Staff were very friendly and service was very quick. The restaurant itself is like a classic diner and you feel as if you were taken back in time. Definitely recommend and will definitely be back!
