Little Taste of Chicago

Pulled up about 1:00pm. Front door locked, open sign was on. Sign in window had a number to call. I called. No one answered and the parking lot was empty. I guess they don't need to be there when they say they are open. Very annoying.

I just ate at this Little Taste of Chicago and they should be ashamed of themselves calling it taste of Chicago. My hometown does not serve imitation gyros meat it comes on a spit and our hotdogs has poppyseeds on our buns. Figured I try it out because I miss my hometown foods. Was disappointed

We had the Philly Chicken combo and the gyro combo. Wow!!! Both were fabulous! So happy we found this place!!!

My dad made me aware of this place a year ago after a favorite food place closed, taking my favorite cheese steaks and slushes with them. That was a dark day for me, especially after finding out there were some unsavory workers there taking advantage of the boss's hospitality. Right beside CB Electronics, LToC is one of those local eateries you mostly hear from word of mouth. I been coming here for lunch quite a few times over the year and usually order the same combo plate.Little Taste of Chicago has great beef gyros. They're thickly folded and the Greek Tzatziki sauce on their gyros puts adds a great taste, can't get enough of it. I also recently had a Philly chicken sandwich, it was a little salty on the first bite, but it was packed with flavor. Ill be sure to ask for a little more peppers if I get another one. Anyway, this little place is one of my favorite places in town and is surprisingly inexpensive, well deserving of the stars im giving it.

I've been to Chicago numerous times and always have their Italian beef when I'm there, but this place TRUMPS anything you will get in Chi-town! It is legit!! Total hole-in-the-wall, but the food is amazing! If you're in the area...even passing through...and need a quick, delicious lunch, go here!!!

I only order one thing here, the Polish sausage. It should be it's own food group. Limited menu, but they do it well. Just plain good food at a very good price.

One of the coolest thing about traveling, is that you never know what hole in the wall place you might find in the town you visiting. This place food was amazing!! Had the Italian beef sandwich, it was very juicy and the Jalapeños were fresh and spicy (just the way I like them)the price was reasonable and the staff very friendly. I can't wait to go back. I highly recommend you to give this place a chance, you won't regret it.

Awesome burgers. The double cheese burger was one of the best I ever had. Would recommend everyone to try.

The food was great. Best Italian beef combo I've had since moving away from Chicago many years ago.

I'd have given 0 stars if tha would have been possible. Waited in line for quite a while with my little toddler. The person in front of me ordered and was done I'd have been next, the woman just changed her place of taking orders and went to the other side of the counter taking the order of the people behind me. I thought ok can happen whatever and waited again until she continued to takE orders from people way behind me. So I can't say anything about the food but I'll surely never visit this place again.
