Little Kitchen

Needs to diminish into the past from whence it came. Entire restaurant smells of cigarettes. Food is something that leaves you wanting. (From a box or can) Could definitely be a charming spot if they revamped. New furniture, better southern cooking. Polite service.

This is simple. If you are anywhere near Columbus AFB you have to stop into the Little Kitchen! It has been doing breakfast, lunch and dinner for literally 30 years+ and the food is always amazing. No matter what you get, I promise it will blow you mind!My favorites are the egg rolls and their Club Sandwich...but that is just me. Swing by and you'll thank me later!

Breakfast? Chinese? Diner? They've got it all. Front room is smoker friendly. Hallway takes you back to additional family seating. Right outside the South Gate to Columbus AFB

Staple to Columbus pilot school, family run diner. Staff is great, plenty of seating. Food is reasonable and fast. Don't let the appearance keep you from the Chinese food, it's great too. Breakfast discontinued at 10am.

Always enjoyed the food there. Quite original Great lunches and breakfast. Great waitress and staff. Always happy. Sometimes backed up. Highly recommended

What can I say about the Little Kitchen. Hmmm....Well, it has food that comes out relatively fast. Seat yourself, smoking section is at the front, walk in and go straight then right. In the back, non smoking area. The best part of "the Kitchen" as it's called, is the daily special. You will have no idea what the special is unless you call or go in but most of the times it's a full meal including the entree, salad and a sweet tea etc for around 6$. If you buy the normal item that may be the special the day prior or day after that same meal will most likely cost you 9-10$. If you are on Columbus Air Force Base or in that area working, it's a good spot to grab a quick bite to eat. My co-worker has been going to the Kitchen for over 20 years. The typical customer is hard working people and the regulars.

Serving a mix of American diner food, Chinese food, and breakfast is a little trailer outside of Columbus Air Force Base. I wasn't expecting much, certainly not great Chinese food. I highly recommend the Chinese food. The breakfast is good, nothing special, but the American food is not good. I haven't had anything that I would order again. Also, while there is a non-smoking section, the entire trailer is pretty smoke filled so I usually get to-go.

I have friends who say this place is great. If that is true then I don't know what happened to it. When you first go into the restaurant unless you know that the back area is smoke free you just sit down in the front. I had been here once before, but din't realize it had a smoking customer area. I found out real quick after getting my beverage that it had the front area for smoking customers which is now rare in the Columbus area. When I asked if they had a smoke free area the waitress led me to the back. This is the 2nd time I have ate here. This time I gave it 2 stars ONLY because the service was good and quick. But the food was only a 1 star. If I had reviewed the first visit it would have gotten the same score. The food really sucked! The first time I ate here, I ordered the curry. I have ate curry all over and it was the worse I ever had. So this time I was a little more conservative and ordered the shrimp dinner. I ordered coleslaw instead of a salad. That was a bad mistake. It had no taste and appeared to be chopped cabbage put into a blender with mayonnaise. Worst coleslaw I have ever had. The shrimp was fried way too long and had a dark brown look. Even then it was soggy with oil. Only way to eat was to soak it with the seafood cocktail sauce. Only edible thing was the french fries. Came with two biscuits that looked like a knockoff of the PIllsbury dough boy variety. I can assure you I will NEVER go back here!

Close to base and offers a good selection with good service. The Chinese menu with a traditional diner menu is unique.

I haven't tried much from their menu, but they have really good burgers. Prices are good, too!
