This was our second stay here at the convention center, which is about 6 miles from Linden TN. It is a very pleasant and peaceful location. The room had 2 beds and a bath. Both were up to date and very clean. While there is wifi there is no TV in the room, only TV in a lobby area, and we were unable to get radio reception in the room. The center is located on the river, and we saw several large turtles sunning them self on a log. We recommended it to another couple and they also enjoyed their stay.

I love coming here for Camp Tsungani. The workers here are awesome and we all work together to keep the camp clean so we can have fun all week long.

We went for church camp. As far as Centrikid they were awesome. The amenities however were not. Our cabin was very hot and outdated. The food was not really edible, the kids pretty much lived off of snacks. We'll do Centrikid next year, but in a different location.

Recently spent a week here ~ the lodge atrium is beautiful and the staff are friendly and VERY hard working. I can imagine it can be a great place for a kids camp. But adults? No. The buildings and grounds need work. Lots of it. The grounds were overgrown and unkempt. The workers are willing and able ~ but they are very few. Relying mostly on teen labor during the summer, the adult staff looks to be about 5. We arrived after the teen labor had gone back to school. The hotel portion is DAMP. When I arrived in my room, the a/c was full blast to no avail. The sheets were damp. The towels were damp. The walls and floor were sticky. It was gross. The ONE dehumidifier in the lonnnnng hallway was working itself to death. The food, being prepared by the same adults who were running the hotel, was lacklustre at best, and just gross at worst. The only thing good about the food was that I didn't have to drive 10 minutes into town to get it. Several meals I just turned the entire tray back in after tasting it. I ended up eating crackers I had brought as snacks for almost every meal. I kept hoping against hope that each night would get better, but it didn't. This is a lovely retreat center, a beautiful location with little to no cell reception and terrible food. The TN Baptist Convention NEEDS to address the issues at this camp before the faithful workers quit. Just because it is a Christian camp doesn't mean we have to settle for poor quality. I expect a center like this to be basic ~ I'm not expecting luxuries. But the damp rooms and the horrible food will definitely make me think twice about coming here again.
