LawLers Barbecue - Cullman

We absolutely love dining here! I've been eating at the Athens location with my parents since I was a kid. Now my husband and I visit the Cullman spot as it's closer to us. The staff is super friendly, which makes every visit enjoyable. My go-to dish? The stuffed baked potato, of course! I can't resist adding extra cheese and sour cream for that perfect touch. And let's not forget about the amazing variety of pies--they're all delicious, but chocolate is definitely our favorite!

Wow, just Wow!I publish content on YouTube. I travel to restaurants, taste the food and then do an informative review of the business. It's good advertising for the most part. This time though, the manager said I couldn't do a YouTube video. What?? I'm always upfront when I order, and I tell the person behind the counter what my intent is. I really don't have too I just do it as a courtesy. As soon as I said YouTube, the loudmouth manager said I couldn't do it and that I am not allowed to film his people. I told him I NEVER film people, just the food and I wouldn't want him in my video. We went back and forth for a bit, and I decided to leave and went to a real BBQ place, Williams BBQ a couple miles down the road and they were more than happy for me to review their place. Not sure what the manager at Lawler's was trying to hide. Maybe his food isn't that great? I don't know, I do know he was a total douche about it especially with other customers standing there waiting to place an order. I shall not be going back to Lawlers

Lawlers is a must have before you die. lol the potatoes are STUFFED. Comes with packets of white or red bbq sauce. Staff was friendly and great service. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Causal dining. They had family feud playing on the tvs inside.

New favorite place in Cullman!! We visited LawLers and got the family meal which was a pint of Mac and cheese, half a pint of green beans, meat and 8buns!!! It fed our family of 4 perfectly. I've been craving it for days now and as soon as we get back to cullman we will be going. This place has an inside and a drive through which is really cool for barbecue. Service was fast and the lady was very nice at the window

It always amazes me how restaurants of the same chain can be so inconsistent. I ate at one of these before and it was some of the best barbecue I have had in Alabama. Based on that experience I tried this one and it was a mistake.I had the turkey and ribs combo with coleslaw and baked beans. The turkey was pulled and never had pulled turkey before. It had a very strange texture. It did not taste smoked at all. I put what they call hot sauce on it which was actually just an oil that was all heat no flavor.The ribs were small and did not pull easily from the bone. The membrane was still intact which is a No-No in the barbecue circles I move in.The coleslaw was the worst coleslaw I've ever tasted in my life. No mayonnaise no sugar no nothing but maybe vinegar. It was just cabbage and something.The barbecue beans were very good they were the best part of the whole meal. They had a sweet flavor but not overbearing.The iced tea was fine it was just iced tea but at least it wasn't old.A customer came in and asked about a Senior Citizens Discount and was told because there was already a discount on Tuesdays they didn't offer it. I think the person was okay with that but the manager was quite rude in the way he told him. I usually like this barbecue but I don't think I will be back to this location

A great BBQ sandwich, They don't skimp on the pulled pork! Comes with slaw and pickles. Try the sweet sauce!!

Not too bad, decently priced. Nice to have something different other than typical fast food while on the road and passing through. I'd suggest trying it. The green beans were definitely good! Good service as well.

I had late afternoon lunch here on Friday. I ordered a BBQ pork sandwich, 1/2 pint of Brunswick stew and a sweet tea. All that for about 11 bucks. I thought that was very reasonable. My friends and I were the only ones in the restaurant, and service was very quick. That had my order ready by the time I finished preparing my tea at the drink station.I was impressed with the sandwich. The bun was stacked with a generous portion of pulled pork and then topped with coleslaw. The meat was tender and flavorful. The coleslaw was a good complement, not too sweet or too sour. Serving coleslaw on top is considered Carolina-style and that is fine with me. The individually packaged container of Lawler's BBQ sauce was good, and a good was to ensure the sauce is consistent.The Brunswick stew was just okay in my opinion. It was very thin, and more brothy that stew-like. Also, it was more vinegar base than I like. But, I'm glad I tried it. Brunswick stew recipes are always going to be a little different.

I had the pulled pork plate with bbq beans and potato salad, she had the baked potato with shredded chicken and we were very pleased. They have a hot sauce that really is HOT (the way I like it). I would've given it 5 stars but was somewhat disappointed with the ONLY entrance to their parking lot on the main road and not one from the WalMart lot like the other restaurants. If you miss the entrance, you have to go back out into the main highway and try again.

I had the turkey plate with potato salad and cole slaw. It was awful. The turkey looked like dog food and was so salty. We think jt may have been canned meat. My toddler spit it out and yelled bad. My husband had a pork sandwich and said it was bad. Ive never had cole slaw this horid in my life.Zero Stars.
