Las Plazas Mexican

Well it saddens me to have to write this negative review ,because I know the silent partner that owns most of the restaurants around, furthermore a lot of my friends work at the other locations ,and some use to work at this one ,but have moved to another location otherwise the review would have been a positive one ,but they ain't, and this won't be ,so with out further Adu . My mama,baby sister ,and I called in an order to the McEwen, TN Las Plazas and we ordered El Patron, Cheese dip, Chimichangas, and a taco, he gave a price of like 24 dollars and some cents and disconnected then I decided I wanted a couple more tacos ,and we called back and added 2 tacos and the price went to 37 dollars and some change. And we started thinking about it ,and wondered why 2 tacos cost 13 dollars ,but they kept altering the ticket to explain the price well Iwe got the food ,and it was horrible the meat wasn't seasoned the cheese was extremely watered down , the portions were not full servings more like half or less , it was horrible we called back to express how dissatisfied we were ,and my mother wanted a better explanation of the price ,well after they pass the phone around ,and gave the impression that they didn't understand English, and just kept repeating they added the tacos and completely ignoring the words that were being said ,and just kept defending their actions by saying yes the added it . So my mother just hung up ,and we won't be back since they didn't even try to make it right we would have returned the food untouched if that what would have been required for some type of reimbursement, but no they just seemed to play it off as if it were intentionally done as some sort of game or over charging gimmick to earn extra money . I don't know, but I do know that they lost some loyal customers we had been going to them for years again I'm friends with some of the older employees ,and keep in contact with them. Now I'm not saying anything bad about other restaurant with the same name as far as I know they are still excellent like the last time I had went ,but this location I wouldn't recommend dinning there .

If you're in McEwen and you want Mexican food, this is your best choice. It's your only choice.I stopped in for lunch today, The lunch menu had lots of combo plates on special, but I chose the Chimichangas. The waiter asked if I wanted chicken or beef. I said beef. He brought chicken. It was tasty, but not what I ordered. I was a little pressed for time, so I ate it.Rice and beans on the side were adequate, if nothing special. A side plate contained some shredded lettuce with portions of three condiments. Guacamole, crema, and the star of the meal...some fresh made pico de gallo.When the waiter brought my bill, I said "I just want you to know I ordered beef but I got chicken". Showed him some of the meat on the plate. His response was to show me on the ticket where it said "beef" and said "Yes, you ordered beef." to which I said "But I got chicken". He just shrugged.The food is okay but I have to take off a star for the service.

My husband and ate at Las Plazas today at 1:30 p.m. We both ordered the lunch Chimichanga plate. We received a small Chimichanga, about 1/2 Cup Rice, a small salad and chips with salsa. This was the amount of food we expected for a lunch portion. When we paid our bill, the waitress charged us for a dinner Chimichanga meal. She said the portions were larger than a lunch meal. We told her we ordered the lunch meal and she insisted that they gave us a lot of food, which was untrue. The food was fair, not great, and we were purposely overcharged for our food. The lunch Chimichanga meal is $5.99 but they charged us $7.50 per meal. This will be our last visit to this restaurant and I would not recommend it to anyone. Beware of this restaurant!!! Just tried this place for date night with the wife. friendly service, fair prices and top of the line flavor. I highly recommend.

They like to overchatge you for every lil thing. I'd rather drive to McEwen or Camden. Normally when you get the the Molcahate bowl you get 4 Jalapenos but, not here! Sometimes 1 or 2?

I called several times trying to place a "to-go" order, I figured they must've been busy because they never answered. I pulled in to place my order in person, and all the workers were sitting at the table playing on their phones. Not one customer in site.

We were in town from Phoenix and craving Mexican food. We saw that Las Plazas only had 2 stars, but we went anyway. I'm glad we did, is was all really good and the service was great!
