When the 4-1/2 star Mexican restaurant we intended to visit turned out to be closed on Mondays we wandered across the lot to this new place. After dining here we didn't at all miss the other spot. This is the sister location of the Marion, KY restaurant of the same name. This opened just three weeks before we visited. It's an attractive spot, but remnants of the former pizza and ice cream restaurant were still evident--like the former name on a frosted window that separated the entryway from the dining room.Newness showed in the server's difficulty finding tacos in the expansive menu. Beyond those things everything else ran fine. La Delicia does have a large menu of typical Mexican items. My three street tacos with pork were excellent, with sweet grilled pineapple balancing the acid from lime. A chimichanga was soft fried and the chicken in it was a little dry. Spanish rice needed a bit more seasoning. Both entrees were quite good, though, and service was attentive.

Eh, pretty basic, really. Salsa tastes like bland marinara. Too much salt and cumin in the chicken seasoning, flan came covered in a bunch of chocolate and whipped cream, when it was not pictured that way in the photo. Probably will give a different place a try next time.

I ordered To-Go. The food was leaking out of two of the containers because they were not sealed properly. No big deal, but with everything else that was wrong, it is now worth mentioning. The food had ZERO flavor...not even salt. I take that back, the kids meal chicken tenders did have flavor, but it tasted like fish. Three (fishy) chicken tenders and yet there was more chicken then fries for the kids meal. Ive never made a yelp review before and that should tell you that for me to take time to write a review means you should not go eat here. Very very disappointed. Spent $40 just to throw it literally in the trash and be hangry.
