It's probably been about 20 years since I had freshly squeezed sugar cane juice. I enjoyed every bit of it.

So delicious. Just a perfect amount of everything. The chicken is fried so good. I am in love with the tajadas( plaintains) and the homemade sauces they put on top!

Ehhh. We were not blown away with our dinners. Not bad but not great either. Tried the place off a recommendation but we all agreed the Honduran place on Getwell is better. The staff was good at answering questions and the table service was good. They had several fresh juices and they did have some different beers. On the weekends they do several different soups and I do want to go back to try the conch chowder. I would not go back for the dishes we had tonight.

This restaurant is next to a gas station just off the belt highway on the north side of Memphis. The staff is very friendly and multilingual, but quite slow-paced. They do a good job of explaining the food. I was with two colleagues, one of whom was Honduran and helped guide our selections. I found the food milder than most Mexican food, although on request they added some friend jalapenos to my order. Many of the appealing looking dishes such as the soups and ceviche are only available on certain days. So, I was compelled to order away from those choices. Instead, I had a pastalito and a breakfast plate. The orders were plentiful in amount, the flavor appealing but not great. There is also a salty cheese with chips snack that is served as a tale appetizer. It's ok but not outstanding. I would go back on the weekend to try the sopa de mandango and ceviche.

Food was good, waiter was a little slow at taking our order and getting the food to our table. We went around 7:30ish pm and the music was so loud I felt like I had to yell for anyone to hear me. That was disappointing.
