I'm not from around here. Actually from Detroit, but moved to Texas so been making trips. Food was great, and I was happy to find crunchy strips for the soup. They're very thin, and light. Too many times I've been to Chinese places where you can taste the oil, and it tastes old. This wasn't this case here. They were VERY good, and tasted VERY fresh. I ended up eating them by themselves since they were so good. Thanks for the pleasant experience!

When I first moved to Blytheville, I was told that they were the only chinese restaurant in town that would serve food without MSG. I get migraines after having any MSG, and it has been verified by a local neurologist. They used serve food without it upon request for a while, then they stopped. I'd request no MSG and guess what I'd have a severe migraine within an hour of eating there.I'm NEVER going to eat there again. No food is worth a migraine that lasted for several days.

Now I didn't order much, I was passing through town and wanted some wonton soup and steamed rice. They had to make the soup which took longer than I expected. Most Chinese restaurants I've been too, New York included will sell you the rice in the little to-go boxes for less than a dollar. That should have been my first red flag when I was charged $4.59 for steamed rice. Apparently the only size to-go box they have is a styrofoam container. Even though the size, come on almost 5 bucks, it's rice!!! The soup tasted like they dumped the entire can of salt in it and I love salt. I couldn't even eat it it was so salty. HORRIBLE! I guess Blythesville is so out there that anything can pass for Chinese. Plus when you see the owner is a caucasion you know your screwed. Red flag number 2. Don't bother stopping. Drive to the next town.

Stopped in on recommendation from a motel manager after stopping my drive for the day. I checked the few reviews on various Internet sources, and they were all over the place, someone wanting to give a 5, someone else wanting to give a 0. The manager had sounded very confident, and I made the short drive to try it. I ate from the buffet only, and my review reflects only the buffet. Overall, there were not many choices, but they were good for the most part. Unfortunately, the salad bar, which was where I started, only had iceberg lettuce for greens (vs. spinach or romaine or anything else) and the lettuce was soaking in water, which was probably ice at one time, but I was there only an hour after opening. There was also broccoli, onions, and the regular assortment of eggs, ham, bac-os, shredded cheddar cheese, black olives, and dressings. There were a few other items, such as pickles, but overall, the salad bar did not have an exciting selection of vegetables. Also on the salad bar were peel-your-own crawfish and shrimp. I tried the hot and sour soup and was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't overly thickened and had good flavor. The hot food table had fried rice, seasoned noodles, two types of egg rolls, crab rangoon, marinated chicken on a stick (yum!), and an assortment of maybe 8 or 10 dishes, two of which appeared to be vegetarian. I tried three and was not disappointed with any. The pepper beef with onions was very good, though maybe a bit salty to some. It was easily my favorite dish, and I'm not a fan of beef.Service was good, cheerful, and efficient. After I was finished, the waiter offered cheesecake, which he quickly pulled out of the freezer case and was great. Maybe lemon or maybe key lime. Not what I expected to finish at a Chinese restaurant, especially as all I'd seen as dessert were cookies, but this was a great palate cleanser and very refreshing at the end of a day with temps in the mid 90s. Bill for dinner buffet and water was under $10 plus tip.I'd very likely return if in the area again.

Last time I went, buffet was bad, service was horrible and just a overall bad experience. Ordering out is a different experience. Sometimes the girls at work order it and I'll go ahead and get the lo mein with no meat. It taste fresh and is always good according to everyone. That is the only reason I gave it that second star. Don't eat the buffet! Yuck!
