Classic Memphis spot on Beale Street. Stopped by for dinner and drinks last night with a friend before the Grizzlies game. My friend is from East Tennessee and wanted to eat at either Rendezvous or BB Kings/Itta Beana but both were closed. King Jerry's was the most convenient alternative. The food is okay, but I really like the atmosphere and location. The entire theme of the place is Jerry Lawler and old school wrestling, which I think is cool and enjoy. The service was also good, and the drink selection is solid. I definitely recommend as a stop on Beale for drinks. Live music. Band was fun, engaged the crowd, but wasn't too loud. Definitely not a Memphis food destination, but a good back up plan on days the classic restaurants are closed.

If you aren't a wrestling fan, this doesn't have much for you. There is a bunch of wrestling stuff and as expected, a bunch of it is about Jerry Lawler. Sadly, they let this stuff get wrecked. Decorations with tons of dust on them. Pictures and displays that have fallen face down in display cabinets that are just left face down. We were there by ourselves, in the early afternoon and we got our food, mine was warm and my wife's was cold. None of the workers appeared to be wrestling fans. If they were, I would've hoped they would've taken better care with what was there. Menus and tables were sticky. Go in for the wrestling stuff and have a beer, then just leave.

I stopped into Lawler's one night because, as I was walking down the street, I was attracted by the music I heard coming from the place. Going in for a drink, I quickly realized I made an excellent choice. The combo playing there played blues music from the old days, but then played a range of music ranging from Sam Cooke up until today. The guitarist was one of the best musicians I had heard in a long time. The service was good and the prices were reasonable.

Music was good. Food... not so much. Had the bbq sampler that was on the dry/old side, mac and cheese was virtually a wetter version of kraft. Understaffed for a friday night, Server was nice and accommodating as she could be all by herself. Fried pickles were ok.

This place is gross. The tables were sticky, the salt and pepper shakers had so much nasty food stuck to them we refused to use them. The food was greasy and the chicken tenders tasted like they had been sitting for a couple days. The meat was stringy and chewy. The atmosphere looked like it was stuck in the 80's and the floor looked like the 80's may have been the last time it was cleaned. If you aren't interested in wrestling memorabilia choose somewhere else.

A great house band! So friendly, so good and this place beats the ambience of BB Kings Blues bar. We were dancing in the aisles. The Aussie lead guitarist was great.
