Being from out of town, I thought this was the Nordstrom's of liquor stores. The people who work there were great, and the selection was wonderful.

Great Place to but booze. Amazing wine and probably one of the premier Champagne selections in Midtown..great staff, very helpful. Also carry very obscure bottles of things I'm always searching around for..as good as Busters in a pinch

I shop at Kimbrough all the time. I LOVE the new wooden Beautiful wine coolers. They also just got two new coolers for beer. Great selection. The store is changing into a place I really like. Jason has worked there for decades and knows exactly what I want. They are always friendly and helpful. This is my favorite wine store in Memphis.

Nice wine and spirits shop. Pretty small shop, yet big enough collection. The prices are pretty regular, but the staff is really nice and easy to have conversation with. They're also very helpful in getting you in and out efficiently so that you aren't clogging up the shop. Not sure what else to say about it tbh -- it's a wine and spirits shop (and conveniently located across the street from the best drunk food in town -- Cookout)

Yeah...they charge like $5 more than they do at Buster's for Tito's Vodka ($27 at Buster's and $32 here), and that just ain't cool in my book. Plus, they weren't that friendly when I walked in the door...as in, didn't acknowledge me - at all - until I was at the cash register staring them in the face. And even then I didn't get a smile. I wish I could say more, but I just wasn't impressed. There store is pretty small but they have all the basics. And it is on Union so it is easy to pop in and out. I guess that is what you're paying for...convenience? Certainly wasn't service.

I have a friend that once lived in Kimbrough Towers, and I always thought how convenient it must be to live right above a liquor store. Need a quick gift? Go downstairs. Need a bottle of wine for a dinner party? Saunter downstairs. Had a bad day? You got it. Take the elevator downstairs. There is a good selection here, and knowledgeable staffers that will help you find a great bottle of vino to serve with dinner or give as a gift. Prices are good too. My favorite thing about Kimbrough Towers Fine Wine & Spirits? Their marquee outside that they change frequently with valuable information or cute, humorous sayings and one-liners.

I remember this place from back in the day when my grandpa used to go here! So the other day I finally stopped in for some wine for my chicken piccata and not only did I find some good wine I also found some IPAs!!!! AND not just any IPAs, this was DOUBLE IPAs. I love a liquor store that sells everything! So i got one case ($14) yea i kow pricey huh. But i had to get em. The guy was pretty friendly but I could tell he was a silent kinda guy so it didnt bother me. I'l be back soon but I'm pretty stocked right now thanks to all my marvelous 750ml gifts i got :) The only reason this palce didnt get five stars is bc of the parking. I'll only go here when im on that side of the road lol. Memphis people cant drive lol

I'm a Buster's girl, so I don't normally shop at Kimbrough (even though it's much closer to my house -- now what does that say about Buster's?), but in the event of an emergency, this is a decent option. It's not a large store, and it has a healthy dose of "sketchy liquor store" ambiance, but I've never felt particularly uncomfortable or anything. They're not nearly as friendly as Buster's (I don't think I've ever actually spoken to someone here), but if you know what you want, you can usually find it pretty quickly (decent selection, but again, not Buster's), pay up, and get out. As with all Union frontage stores, what passes for a parking lot is small, cramped, and scary as heck to back out of -- I've started going around the back way to avoid making a left off of Union. But for a quick "Oh no, we're out of [insert liquor here]," Kimbrough is just fine.

Nice small upscale establishment recommended by a local. Struck gold when they had four bottles of my favorite adult beverage. Not disclosing name. TMI Pricing reasonable. No panhandlers, burglar bars or questionable elements. Would feel comfortable asking the wife to patronize. Staff doing the business or business and not hitting on the women or acting like bargain basement primates.
