Kandela Mexican Grill

Came here with my parents, as they said it was the best Mexican dig in all of Jonesboro! They nailed it. Food was great and plentiful. I couldn't believe how fresh the food tasted and how attentive our server was! I don't frequent Jonesboro often, but I'mGlad I know where the best Mexican food in town can be found. I will be back. The place was nice and clean, modern, large and comfy. Nice bar area, large tv. My daughter and I shared the Chicken fajita nachos! It was a huge and wonderful serving!

Soooo GOOD! Chori Dip is a must have! Grandkids love the kitty robot that brings chips and salsa to the table. Great staff, great selection, quality food, nice place!

The food was pretty good but I wasn't able to finish after what I witnessed. Think again before pardoning this restaurant!! EMPLOYEES DO NOT WASH THEIR HANDS AFTER TAKING A DUMP!!!!! AND NO ONE CARES. While I was in the finishing up in the restroom, washing my hands as you should do, an employee came out of a stall and proceeded to walk straight out WITHOUT washing his hands. I asked him if he was going to wash his hands and he said no then proceeded to walk back to the kitchen. I asked to speak with a manager and was told the manager wasn't in. I made the 2 employees aware that their coworker had not washed his hands and walked back into the kitchen. The 2 employees I spoke with acted as if it was not a big deal and told me he was just a dish washer. I don't care what his job is. ALL EMPLOYEES must wash their hands after taking a dump! It's gross! It's unsanitary! And when it's brought to your attention, it should be addressed immediately and not taken lightly.

Poblanos peppers meal. Served smoking hot. Excellent. Decent service in spite of the language barrier.

Okay, four stars. Here's the low down. Went here for a friend's son's birthday party. We had a party of nine. I'd been here before but this was the first time as a Yelpper. So here we go.I ordered, to start, the chori dip. The dip came out piping hot and it was absolutely terrific. It's a queso with chorizo mixed it. Pretty simple, really, but it's great. I would recommend skipping the normal queso, which is typical Tex-Mex run-of-the-mill queso. Just get this stuff and be happy. For my entree I ordered the chori burrito (I was in the mood for chorizo). It was pretty good. It's a meat mixture of chorizo, chicken, and beef, wrapped in a tortilla and covered in queso. Not bad. Not bad at all. It came with Spanish rice which was a pretty typical "nothing to call home about" rice. But it's pretty decent.So, now I'd like to stop and talk about why a five star meal gets a four star rating. Service. It's been mentioned in several other reviews and it's gonna get mentioned here. I ordered water. When I have water at a restaurant I'm gonna need about seven refills. Not even exaggerating when I say that. I got one. The server was simply not present. When he did show up I'd ask for more water. He wouldn't bring it. I went as far as to ask for it in Spanish (maybe it was lost in translation?). Nope, still no water. Ended up asking another server and finally got my water when we were paying out. If you love Tex-Mex this is a good place as far as food goes. It's not amazing or anything original. There's a big chance the service is gonna suck. But, all in all... it's not bad

In the area for work and this place was a recommendation from hotel staff. Nice place, clean, well staffed. Started with complimentary chips and salsa, typical, but good. Tried the chori dip, phenomenal. The Kandela Steak Burrito is boring and the bits of steak a little charred and chewy. I will come back but will try something different. For having so many staff members standing around chatting with each other, wasn't checked on until I was pushing my plate back. Not the most attention given since I was a party of one, I assume. 3 stars for service. 3 stars for food. 4 stars for location itself.

The food is just okay and I'm on the hunt for better Mexican food here. I hate writing such a negative review but we just haven't had a good experience here.The salsa is bland and needs some extra herbs and spices. The fajitas are also on the bland side but the table has a shaker of a chili salt mixture so I guess you season it yourself? Also... the following picture is of the "flautas" but they were ham and cheese roll ups. I wouldn't purposely plan a trip to eat here again.

As soon as I walked in I audibly gasped. This place is extraordinarily beautiful; the atmosphere was amazing. The staff was very kind, welcoming, and kind. The food was delicious. I highly recommend this place!

We were seated relatively fast. There was a live Dj that was so loud we couldn't even have a conversation, there was music being played that was vulgar and filled with profanity. We didn't have our children but there were several in the restaurant. Not a family friendly environment at all. My husband's food was lukewarm at best. When we were ready to go we asked for a box never got it never got our ticket to pay because our waiter was up doing a line dance after waiting several minutes we just got up to pay and had to wait still because our waiter was still busy dancing. Not a good first experience but you can bet it was our last.

Ordered rancheros and sour cream enchiladas and they were fine. Ordered beef hard tacos and specifically ordered shredded beef tacos but they were just regular ground beef. Don't Put It On The Menu If You Aren't Serving It!! Very disappointing!
