Joe's Place

I witnessed the owner/doorman/bartender calling his wife a cow, who was graciously helping him on New Years Eve after they did last call. He did this after also calling a customer a cow for ordering a pizza. Multiple other people who left reviews have said they have had terrible experiences with a drunk man behind the bar or at the door and we still decided to give it a shot. This all occurred immediately after we arrived and have never met this person prior. How he spoke and acted in front of customers and strangers is something that I have never seen before. I would never recommend this place to my worst enemy, and it could be a very traumatic experience for some depending on how much this person has had to drink that night.

Absolute worst experience I've ever had at a bar. I tried to get napkins from the bar and was berated by a man named Dalton standing behind the bar. He was intoxicated and belligerent, only trying to pick a fight. I was called all kinds of names and eventually he came over to apologize, only referring to me as a weak male because I wouldn't rise to his aggression. I was with several friends that all work at restaurants nearby and were all immediately petrified by the actions of someone that claimed they have ownership at Joes. I've been to this bar dozens of times in the past and it's very unfortunate that the new ownership is causing return customers to regret coming in. We all left abruptly and definitely will not be patronizing this establishment in the near future.

Just a good old bar where people take full advantage of the smoking policy- which IS allowed. Nice bartenders - very friendly.

TL:DR; Ordered one Bourbon and two Scotch. All were watered down extensively, one with what tasted to be dish water/soap.I really hate giving one star reviews and it really takes a lot for me to do so....but holy hellLet me start out by saying the bartender was really nice and I rate the customer service a solid A+However, I went in midday to "take the edge off" of a long few weeks of working 60-70 hours/wk. I ordered a bourbon and coke. It tasted a bit odd and watery while drinking it, but figured it was because I was sleep deprived/out of it.I decided to opt for my typical drink of a Chivas Regal neat. I took a sip, gagged, was able to hold it down for a minute to ask the bartender what the hell was in the bottle before I threw up in my mouth and went to the bathroom.After cleaning myself up, the bartender poured a sip to test and was also disgusted by the taste of which I can only approximate to being 20% Scotch, 70% Used Dish Water, and 10% Soap.She then nicely apologized and offered me another drink on the house. I opted for another scotch they had. She poured it and handed it to me and it was extremely clear/light colored for a scotch. I take a sip and it's not disgusting, but tastes like a mixture of half scotch and half water.

Evidently, in the eyes of said bartender, I'm a two-year old who can't handle sipping my Maker's Mark from a glass. To top it off the ladies room locks are all busted. I highly do NOT recommend Joe's Place. Perhaps if the plastic bartender learned some manners, my experience would have been delightful; delightful as the songwriters up on stage pouring their hearts out amid the noise and confusion: Tis IS afterall, Music City, USA!

Great food, friendly service, and I love the ambiance. Definitely a fun, low key place to relax after work with a beer and my friends. 10/10 will be back!

One of my favorite spots in Nashville. Great food, atmosphere, and the staff is amazing. If you're looking for a new neighborhood go to, I can't recommend Joe's Place enough!

AMAZING!!!! Drinks were bomb the top patio was sooo nice and Tony and Laura were so fun to have as bar tenders plus fun ass drinking buddies will definitely be back for more

My wife hasn't let me smoke in the house since we got together. Three years. No smoking inside. I want to thank Joe's place because for the first time in three years, I got to smoke while taking a poop. Also. I am writing this while taking a poop. Joe's is awesome. Don't worry I am going to wash my hands.
