This is one of our hometown favorite places to dine. The food never disappoints; we love the friend shrimp and all the steaks. The salad bar is fresh and plentiful and the staff friendly and attentive. We love this restaurant! The ambience is also contributes to the overall excellence of this restaurant.

First time at this restaurant. The service was amazing and the atmosphere was too. Ordered the 16 oz New York strip. Sides were Mac & cheese, fries, sautéed vegetables, grilled asparagus. Appetizer was fried mushrooms. Everything was AMAZING. The strip was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this place. We will be back.

Jason's never disappoints. Good food. Great atmosphere. Philly Cheese Fries are amazing. Salad bar is amazing - although ham and egg were missing the evening we were there. I enjoy the fried catfish - but cold on this visit. The side vegetables were excellent.

I have enjoyed going to Jasons on several occasions. Recently went on first Thursday of the month they have country music playing people just come in with their instruments and do like a round robin and sing and play. It was very busy and there was lots of people there and I had a young man that waited on us and I can't remember his name but he was very conscientious for the first time I have the baked potato stuff with steak. Steak had excellent excellent taste. and cooked to perfection . They have a lively bar in the back and live music down different occasions. Jason Southern table is on the Square in Kosciusko Mississippi. Come get some of the best steaks around. If you get a chance come by and join in the fun.

Hate to leave a 2 star review but unfortunately the shrimp is "product of India". They showed me on the box. I expect nice restaurants like this to put for the effort of getting "gulf" shrimp like most places in Mississippi, not foreign shrimp loaded with mercury. I will ask next time I'm in if this has changed and will update my review if so.

A BRIGHT spot to our brief visit. We had looked up restaurants in the town and chosen another place that ended up being permanently closed. Tried another, also permanently closed. Tried yet another...guess what? Closed. Not permanently but well before times noted on YELP. TIP? Call ahead to any place in town you plan to stop. We LUCKED upon Jason's Southern Table and low and behold it was OPEN and WELCOMING to these weary travelers! We quickly looked over the menu and found not only many great options but great prices too. We had a lot of questions as the menu didn't explain what quirky named dishes were at all. Ex. "Smokey & The Bandit" is apparently a meal for 2, with smothered steaks and sides etc. we chose dishes: Philly cheesesteak, buffalo chicken burger, grilled chicken salad, special: shrimp trio (30 shrimp prepared: boiled, fried, grilled), and garlic steak pasta. The salad bar was incredibly fresh and delicious with many options. The shrimp special was great, all perfectly cooked and seasoned. The garlic steak pasta was rich, creamy. I would have really preferred some added veggie to the pasta: asparagus or spinach, red peppers to break up some of the richness and to be asked how I wanted the steak cooked for the topping BUT it was still quite good. Philly cheesesteak was very good, so was the filling buffalo chicken. Most was of the quality I would make at home and very similar actually so we enjoyed it all. If in this oddly named little town, you can be guaranteed a warm welcome, good prices, and great food here.

worst place for a black person to go to. I'm from Kosciusko, Mississippi born and raised. I was there in Mississippi this past weekend to bury my father. Me may sister and my son stopped in at Jason's Southern Table to go over things we need to finish up for the funeral that was Saturday morning on the 18th of May. We were greeted by the host and she told us we could sit at a table or booth. We sat down at a booth and were greeted by our server Reagan. She was very nice and sweet as we asked questions about the drink menu and food before we decided to order. It was around 4:30 in the afternoon so the place was not packed about 2 to 3 couples were sitting at booth enjoying themselves. My party which was just three of us ordered drinks and an appetizer before ordering a main course. My son had a kids burger and me and my sister decided on pasta. When our food was brought to the table a black young lady served us. When I seen my plate I was not satisfied and told the young lady this is something I just was not expecting and asked to send it back I would like to change my order. It was some bland and dry looking Alfredo noodles with two dry chicken tenderloins on top. She said once I set plate on the table I cannot take it back your waitress will have to get it. I okay can you please let Raegan know that I would like to change my order. I set the plate away from me and placed it at the end of the table. I white man walks up as said I heard you have a complaint. My sister and I looked puzzled and said no there's not a complaint. I said I was not expecting this and I would like to change my order. He said this is how I make it for my kids. I confused and I said well I would like to change it and order something different. He said but you ordered this, this is what you ordered. At this point I'm getting a little uncomfortable by this guy who was not my waitress arguing with me about this dry food that I told him multiple times that I did not want. Mind you me and my sister were emotional because our Father just passed and we brought him back home to bury him so we having some drinks. We didn't bother anyone, we were not loud and ghetto or causing a seen. I was on my second drink and the bartender brought my sister a replacement drink because it had a bug in her cup. At this point I'm irritated because this fat white guy was not trying to accommodate me and told me I had to pay for that food that I did not touch or eat telling me this is out I make my money and why did you order it if this is not what you want. I said people order all things they don't want all the time. At this point I'm ready to leave because all of this was done in front of my son and this white man was trying to intimidate me. I told this man I do not want the food and that I'm not paying for it. I said yes you are. I said no I'm not you can't make someone pay for something they don't want and get upset because people don't like your food. I told me if I don't pay for it he was calling the police. I said call them because I did nothing wrong. My sister said you can't do that it's not against the law you can make her do that. He I have a business to run she said I have a business as well there are insurance in place for things like this if it happens. He said I'm calling the police. I said you racist dick we did nothing to you. He said I going to have you waitress cash you out before you order anything else. The waitress comes back with the check and I said I'm not paying for that paste I told him I didn't want it. She try defend him saying he's not racist. I said then what was all of that he did then. What was reason for that. I said if he didn't want to sever black people then he should make a sign. I said there is nothing on the walls or menus that says if you order and don't want it then you still have to pay for it. My sister tells me that she will pay for it and let's just go because my son is witnessing all of this and we have our father's funeral tomorrow. I said no that's not fair and he is wrong for calling the police because we did nothing wrong. She said just let it go what goes around comes around people like that don't have their business for long. I paid the bill and said some words as I walked to my car. Before pulling away the police pulled up as I was leaving. This some that shocked me to my core because I've never in my life experienced something like this especially for my home town and have my son see it. I was hurt because of the way I was treated hopefully people read this seen his true colors. I told my family about the experience which is a lot because they still live in Kosciusko. They said that the guy was the owner and they don't know why that happened to me and that they never experienced that before. He didn't treat anyone else in the restaurant like that because it was all white people in there. Hope that place don't last.
