Could it have been 2 years since we stopped? Can't be, but in any case, again we adjusted our starting time so we'd drive through Jackson when this was open (it's that good). I had the Ox Tail with sides of Yam and Plantains, and a Vita Malt Ginger soda. The better half had the Jerk Chicken Tacos. Great as always. The better news is they have definite plans to move their food truck to Memphis. PLEASE do!They have table service - very friendly. Not much ambiance - just a place to get great food. Finally, for those worried about spice - I've yet to taste anything that burns. This stuff just tastes great!

I always get the same thing when I go here Great ambiance Great Food and the Service is good too. I always get the Goat, and Jerk Chicken. They also have a Ginger drink made with a lot of Real Ginger that is excellent and you can only get it there.

This is a convenient spot with wonderful Jamaican and African Cuisine (living up to their name. They are set up in a serving line style, so a lot of there food is pre-cooked, but still has a fresh taste. We stopped in specifically for the oxtails and I must say they were delicious. I had mine over a bed of red beans and rice with a side of cabbage. For my beverage, I had the ginger juice. OMG! It is so refreshing. I wish I would have gotten more. They do have a dining area for you to sit and enjoy your meal as well. The staff is super helpful and the service is great. If you are in Jackson, I would definitely say stop in.

After reading all the good reviews I have wanted to try this place for quite a while. The wife doesn't like spicy and was concerned the food here would be, so she was never really interested in trying. So when my daughter came to town she was interested in giving it a try with me. To start out, it's a bit confusing on what to do when you walk in. There was a line at the counter. But there were also tables. It wasn't obvious if we were supposed to order at the front and then find a seat or sit down and get waiter service. There was no signage or person there to help. We decided to sit down and look over a menu. This is when the waitress came to us and said we can order directly with her. I tried the large Jerk Chicken with sides of yams and fried plantains. The jerk chicken is not spicy, but more of a black pepper taste. The chicken breast was so incredibly moist and the flavor was excellent. The two sides were so good, making this a tremendous meal. I definitely will do this choice again. My daughter had Fufu with lamb (something she saw before on TikTok). The fufu is a large flour "dumpling(?)" that had a consistency of firm mashed potatoes (at least to my palate). She dipped that into a lamb stew. She really enjoyed it, although I thought the lamb stew had a "fishy" flavor. We were pleasantly surprised they serve Soursop juice. Neither of us have had that since we lived in Singapore years ago. Even though it was in a can it was quite good. Our waitress never brought a bill, so we assumed we just walk up to the register and pay. I did and I guess that was right because they found my order and I paid for it there. So, in summary, although it wasn't very obvious on how the service here works, which left us a bit confused with the whole experience, the food helped to make up for that and I'll definitely be back (and this time with the wife!).

The ambience is really nothing to speak of, but that food tho! No one does vegetarian like a Jamaican restaurant, and this one does it particularly well. This is a walk up to the food line and order your food kinda place. We had a bit of a language barrier, but we got it all figured out in the end. Rice & peas, cabbage & collard greens washed down with a pineapple ginger soda, yes please! I will stop anytime I am in the area.
