Jalapeño's Authentic Mexican Grill

Truly the best food in Somerville! I've eaten there so many times and I often try to get something different, but I have never had a meal there that I didn't like. They have the best service and the owner is the sweetest lady. I love the atmosphere there too. It's such a down to earth, everybody knows everybody type of place. I could go on and on. This place never disappoints!

Stopped by for dinner on our way to MS. Menu has a variety of meals and combos from quezon dip appetizers, fajitas, quesadillas, enchiladas (they give you 3), burritos, etc. Colleagues got the shrimp fajitas, they enjoyed good seasoned shrimp with peppers and onions with tortillas. I had a veg burrito, huge and couldn't finish. Service was friendly and great!

The chorizo dip is incredible! The steak and shrimp hit the spot. I've had better shrimp and better steak, but for the price, I got exactly what I paid for. Actually, it was very good for the price. The steak was very juicy and I love the way it was marinated. The salsa was room temperature which I love. That means it's freshly made. I don't know how authentic this place actually is, but I'm guessing it's not really. It's great for what it is though. This used to be a BBQ place. I wonder if they still have the smoker. Also, I notice that they serve a full American breakfast all day every day.

Food is incredible and great price! I'm glad they are not open on the weekends, they cater to the working class that need a breakfast, lunch and dinner place M-F which I appreciate; I can make my own food on the weekend. The staff is always friendly and when you need to pick up and get home they are quick!

Good burgers and fries, in addition to some great Mexican food.

One word. Ok, two. FRENCH FRIES!!The real thing. Cut fresh and fried perfectly. That gets them the 5 stars from me! You can get them here. And they're a great deal. Just $1.75 per huge serving. We went on "taco tuesday" night at around 7:00. Beef and chicken tacos are $1.00 and steak and fajita tacos are $2.00 when you get a drink. We got out of there for $16 and change for 3 people, not including taxes or tip. Got the chicken, beef, and steak tacos, chips and salsa, and fries. The meat in all of the tacos had a great flavor. Nice portions given that they were on sale (some places would skimp). The chips and salsa... YUM! Chips were crispy and still warm from the fryer. Fresh-made salsa had good flavor layering. I could have had a glass of that by itself and been happy. Great service. Clean place. Well worth the stop if you're in the area. I have a new great place to get take out.

Free homemade salsa with your order is delicious. The burgers are amazing. A double will very easily feed two people. The fries are fresh hand cut and the bomb. Patty melt is the best I've had. Pancakes are amazing. Everything I have had here has been amazing. Great prices too.

What a great little restaurant!Had the $5 hamburger and fries special tonight. Best hamburger ever a what a price. Wife had the tacos steak asada which is always good.Just wish they were open on weekends.

Great salsa and fajitas in small town Tennessee. Family located this place on our drive home from Memphis and it was a hit with everyone.

I love eating at Jalapeño's. The salsa is exactly what I look for in a salsa, and the cheese dip is good. Overall, the food is good, and it is rare I have any issues with anything being wrong about my order. I also find the staff to be very friendly and the owner is a riot.
