Jack Pirtles

Jack Pirtles fried chicken is the best kept secret in Memphis. It is my family's new favorite go-to place when we are hungry for some good ole fried chicken. The biscuits are also delish and so as their mashed potatoes and gravy. Altogether a hearty meal that my family enjoys. Customer service is great whenever we go to the drive-thru window. Thank you!

It's all drive thru now. It was quick n efficient and the cashier at window was very nice. It's 95 outside so I commend here, opening n closing that window. Gotta be "HOT" inside. Food was great. Fulfilling as usual. My friend left for airport so I just ate n now I'm gonna nap. Lol. Peace out y'all.

Great chicken, huge tenders, nice pepper gravy and one of the few places with livers and gizzards

This is the best Pirtles I've ever been to. That unfortunately doesn't say a lot though. I occasionally have a hankering for some chicken livers and they have them available all of the time. Half of the time I get them from here they are good. The other half reminds me why I don't come more often. I've had the chicken years ago and it's just meh. It just doesn't compete with any other chicken out there. The little biscuits are strange but tasty when you dunk them in that heart stopping gravy. That's at least worth a try once in your life. They have been in Memphis for 214 years or so. I guess they are a Memphis tradition you just have to throw a little money every once in a while in exchange for a chance of a good greasy meal. I'm cool with that....

Imma give them 2 star just because it's hard to let that chicken fried steak go. But as for the workers that was here today get 0 stars . Arrived at window told me to pull up which already had a line. So I parked and went inside to order. Upon entering restaurant worker was arguing and cursing. No one at front counter to acknowledge or take order. So I just left stomach growling and shxt... this is ridiculous, when you try to spend wit us and us just dont never seem to be on point.. this location to me is off limits order at you own risk...hell you might even make it in WORLD STAR...I'm very upset cause my taste buds was ready for that chicken fried steak sandwich...

Best fried chicken Drive Thru in all of Memphis. Offering 8 locations throughout the city. I prefer the Mt. Moriah location as it's the cloest to me & on my way to my Poker games at Dan Mcguinness (offering poker Mon. Wed.& Fri.) I usually get myself an 8 piece white with fires & biscuit. It always comes out warm & juicy. The taste quaility & texture exceeds that of KFC my order is always right. The service is always fast & friendly. The meun selection has a great variety from smoked sausage steak buscuit & much more. Prices are always reasonable. I also love the fact that their chicken is never too greasy. Like when I ate their Lamar store after work. I will continue coming back to this location unless anything should change. At this point I highly doubt this Jack Pirtles isn't going anywhere anytime soon. If you're looking for some fun with the family I suggest going to Billy Hardwicks around the corner on White Station. I'll have a review posted up there about them soon.

I'm not going to rant... I've been here about 4x within the last several months and I guess it's not them, it's the new recipes that they've been using. It seems that each location is like this, but Long story short? Jack Pirtles isnt the same. Everything is so very bland and has no taste. Gave this location three stars because the service Is good! :) if you catch them on a good day, the gravy may be decent!

I miss you guys a lot. Please come to Dallas. Gus's have already. I always visit a location when I come back home. Thank you.

It's like roulette, sometimes the chicken is fresh and others it's not. I normally got through drive thru asking for my order to be cooked fresh (freshly dropped), only to get refried food, unacceptable. Tonight I asked repeatedly and each time I was handed my food, I was disappointed, I just gave up, but insisted on placing this review. Do better, Jack Pirtles!!!
