Quaint local place. Local decor and menu. A specialty is the 1" thick slow smoked pork steak. I tried it. Pretty good, but perhaps a bit dry for my taste. My wife loved her BBQ salad. The sides were very good. I got green beans and onion rings. Just amazing. Quick friendly service. Just a wonderful.

We go here a lot and 8 out of 10 times the barbecue is old. Do not get the barbecue. The fish is ok and the steaks are pretty good, but nothing special. The place has a good variety and that makes it popular. This place is always full, so somebody likes the food better than us. The service is very good and the restaurant is well maintained and clean. It's just always a hit and miss on the food. Not consistent and usually bland.

The food here is really good! Everyone in our group of 7 enjoyed their meals! Our waitress was really great and service was good too!! I definitely recommend this place and if we come hunting here again next year, I will definitely be back!!

Good stuff and you gotta love a place that isn't afraid to show their southern hospitality.

This place has an incredible smoked 1-inch thick pork steak that will blow your mind. No need for a knife because it falls apart on your fork. Gravy is also very good. Price is very fair. Highly recommended.

I always love their food but DO NOT recommend the hamburger steak if you don't like onions/peppers. Theyre cooked into the steak. What in the world??! I absolutely hate onions. I ordered a to go plate and took to work and then was left with a steak that was awful so I just had to eat the sides I'd ordered.

Stopped by this restaurant on my way back home & the parking lot was packed so I kinda figured I had a shot at some decent food. Pulled up to the drive thru and they had Friday night special for a steak or pork steak. I ordered the pork steak dinner that came with 2 sides & Texas toast. When I tell you the meat was so tender and juicy. The serving was huge. You can probably eat off it 3 times. 10/10 would recommend. I will definitely visit again to try something different from the menu.

Dave and Lynn do it right every time! BBQ plates, sandwiches, pork steaks that you can literally cut with a plastic fork, ribs, fish plates, breakfast, daily specials and professional catering to moderate sized and large groups. Prices are reasonable for the portion sizes of the food. Nice people, interesting conversation and cool decor. The Iron Horse is never a regret! You can also fuel up, get snacks, drinks and other things for the road. Stop by once and I guarantee you will go back. Highly recommend!

I am 56 years old and I have never paid for a class of water at a restaurant until i ate here simply ridiculous for that reason I will never be back

When I didn't get a knife with my pork steak I thought "that's a bold move". They absolutely can back it up. You can fork cut through this meat with ease and it's delicious. Worth a drive out of the way to try out.
