Hutchen's B-B-Q

My wife and I stopped in on a Tuesday around 1:30 pm and the place was packed. We found out that it was the second day they have been open since the tornado blew through town and closed them for a while. We had to wait for a couple of tables to clear out before we were able to sit down. I ordered the Hutchens's Famous Pulled Pork Sandwich with their pigtail fries. My wife ordered the Catfish dinner. The food took a while to come out but that was to be expected with how busy they were. My sandwich was good, but I wouldn't consider it "famous", it was OK. My wife really liked the Catfish, it was crispy and flavorful. We both like the taste of the pigtails. I would come back again and next time I would try something else.

Would have gave this place a five star, but when I checked out they didn't tell me that there was going to be an additional charge for using a credit card. If they would've told me that in advance I would've paid cash. Really pisses me off when they don't tell you they're going to charge you extra for using a credit card.This place doesn't look much like a barbecue place, it's more of a diner.Otherwise plays Sarah some pretty good food and has pretty good service.

Great food, good service, the only thing I could fault (the age of the building) has more to do with the fact the restaurant has outgrown its current building. The BBQ sandwich was outstanding with the vinegar coleslaw. The staff was friendly and always talking with you (regardless if they knew you). I was treat as though I ate there daily even though it was my first time.

I highly recommend this place. I missed my exit and turned into Benton to eat and I was really impressed with the hospitality of the staff and the quality of the food. Highly recommend it. Come one, come all...You won't regret it!!

I love typing in "food near me" and finding new places-like a lot of other people. Really wanted to try a BBQ place in KY. This place had better reviews and pictures than the others. Probably the best BBQ I've had in a long time. Meat was super tender, sliding off the bone. My sides were baked beans and vinegar coleslaw. If it was closer, I'd probably eat here at least once a week!

Certainly not fancy but place is clean, food is tasty, service is quick, and prices are appropriate. What more could one ask for assuming you like southern country meals!!

This is always a favorite on my trips to KY. I will go out of my way to get a chance to go here. Great food, good service and decent prices.

Hutch burger is the best burger anywhere. They also have really good bar b que. One of the best places in Benton to eat breakfast.
