Hugstables Sports Bar & Grill

The food is delicious!!! Burgers, Wings, Okra, Fish and Fries! I have had lunch orders and catered events from Hugstables and they did not disappoint! Great food option.

A friend recommend this place and I must admit I was a little skeptical. After going in we were greeted by a very friendly lady who answered all our questions regarding the menu. She talked us into buying a little of this and a little of that. We ordered wings, burgers, fried okra, smoked sausages and cupcakes. The food was prepared fresh and was soooooo good. I will say I could have taken a little more seasoning on my burger (i probably didn't need it).

When I order from Hugstables, I usually get the typical Buffalo chicken wings that are indistinguishable from most hot wing joints. Sometimes, I get out of my comfort zone to break the boredom by getting something different. So one night, instead of getting saucy hot wings, I chose Hugstables Dry Hot Wings because I wasn't in a mood for using up half a roll of paper towels. I assumed that the heat from the wings would be similar to its saucy counterpart, but I got a spicy surprise when I bit into a wing. The wings were a lot hotter than I expected, for the heat level was just a few degrees below Habanero, and I was fortunate to have a glass of cold beer nearby. Despite the heat, the wings were very tasty, with the dry rub seasoning really acquitting itself well in terms of flavor. Although they are not one in the same, Hugstables' Dry Hot Wings are somewhat similar to the Flying Saucer's Mojo wings that also uses dry rub seasoning to spice up its wings (although the texture of Hugstables' wings are more akin to fried catfish, something you can also get at the sports bar). However, Hugstables wings are cheaper and when you factor in the delivery fees, its wings are on par with most restaurants in terms of price (of course those costs can be higher, depending on where you live). In fact, even after throwing in a tip to my Uber Eats driver, the total cost of my meal was under twenty dollars. I love this place!! Just stick with standard hot dogs and hamburgers, skip the wings. Whatever seasoning they put on their fries is divine. Love this grizzlies vibe; it's a shame they close at 8. Friendly service.

I visited this black owned establishment on friday, August 30,2024 around 12:16 pm . I ordered the Philly chicken combo. My meal was not good. My fries were cold and hard and my Philly chicken was hard and spicy. ( I didn't order spicy). So I couldn't eat this meal. I only came because of a family member told me this was a good place to eat. But it's not. Also the owner wanted to charge and extra 50 cents because I wanted no ice in my lemonade in those small cups. it's sad you try to support black owned bu but the quality is never good. I will NEVER come and spend my money here

The ambiance is one of my favorite things about Hugstables. The staff members are very nice and professional every time we go. There are very few places to go in Memphis where a person can feel safe. On top of that, the food is some of the best in the city. I love to have my sons get their hair cut next door at House of Style, then get some food from Hugstables. I recommend them to everybody!

Hugstables is the spot. One of the best cheeseburgers I have ever had. Chris was super accommodating and went out of his way to make our group feel welcome. We were visiting from out of town and he gave us the 5-star experience. The wings were also delicious. If you are in the area and hungry, stop by. You will not be disappointed.
