Huey's Downtown

In town for the day and was on my way to another place. But I saw this on my way and decided to pull up the menu. So although I was initially wanting bbq ... something about seeing "world famous" in the marketing makes me wanna try lol. First I wanna say the 4 stars comes mainly from the service. Everyone was nice and my server was patient with me as I decided what I wanted. I can't remember his name. But he was great. I ordered the spinach dip and it was good but not great. Definitely cheesy... and piping hot. But average. I did like the accompaniment of the salsa and sour cream. It's kind of like having chips and salsa and chips and spinach dip. I ate it all!!I ordered the "world famous" burger. Here are the positives: the patty was actually seasoned and seasoned well. My order came out correctly. Negatives: menu says standard temp was medium. And it definitely came out well done. My server offered to have it re-made. But there was no need in wasting the food. It was still juicy. I added tater tots and they werent hot. Just lukewarm. Although the food was good. It wasn't mind blowing. And with world famous being in the marketing and promotion I expected something special. They have a great variety on their menu and happy hour specials as well. Very chill environment and pricing was more than affordable Again I want to stress that the service is great! I'd definitely be back

Colorful esthetic before you walk in. To the right is where the band plays, there's a bar and tables. We were sat and started with the mozzarella sticks with ranch. At a glance they looked average. Very good for a crispy, crunchy bite. The ranch was a creamier ranch that tasted homemade. He ordered the Old Tyme A1 Burger and I got the Bluff City burger with tots. The first bite of the burger was gushing with flavor and juice, enough that we needed napkins right away. Every bite was consistent. The tots had a good crunch and they put their seasoning on them, then dipped in ranch. Bomb. Bought some merch and will be back.

We wanted to stop in here for a late lunch and to watch the Texans game on a Saturday afternoon. They have plenty of TVs so perfect spot to watch any game that may be on. They were not jam packed so we were able to find a table right away. This place is sit yourself but the waiter comes over to you pretty quickly. We really enjoyed our burgers, I high recommend the sweet potato fries because it comes with this chipotle ranch sauce and it was so damn good. The world famous burger I thought was delicious, had all the fixing and the burger had a ton of flavor. If you are looking for a casual lunch spot this is the place to go to!

This restaurant looks funny from the outside, and it definitely seems bigger on the inside. We were around 6 pm and they have a happy our! The options were getting one 22oz beer or two 11oz. I decided to get the 22oz this time.The waitress was very friendly and took the time to explain to us some conferences going on around the area.I ordered the Sunshine Burger with tater tit's. The burger was delicious, the mushrooms were very flavorful, and the bacon was very crispy.

Okay I've been to Huey's downtown a few times since this review. And I'm here to say I still will not agree about the world famous burger BUT they have world famous flavored catfish and really tasty wings. AND the service is definitely world famous. I went in for lunch with my daughter today and Megan was my server. She was so kind to the both of us, very friendly and she didn't miss anything. She got really busy and still gave us great service. I really love going into Huey's now and it's definitely worth the trip. One star down cause the portions on the catfish are a bit small but the flavor is so good I'll probably keep getting them! Thanks Megan. If you don't like loud restaurants try and go for lunch during the week. Sometimes they play live music as well.

My friend and I had a craving for burgers while wandering about downtown. Always great service. I had the A1 burger with fries and extra onion rings, I asked for medium but of course I ended up with well done which was fine, it was still tasty. I just wish a dog wasn't sitting right beside me while i was eating and flies weren't flying around while i was trying to eat

Stopped by after a trip to the Orpheum. My wife and I both had Smashburgers and I added the sweet potato fries. This was preceded by the most amazing fried pickles we have ever had. The burgers were perfect and the sweet potato fries were as amazing as the fried pickles. 6 stars on the food. The service gets 4 because even though they weren't busy the service was kind of slow. Overall good experience.

Excellent food and great prices wonderful atmosphere almost everything was reasonably priced within $8.99 to $15.99 per plate! I only wish they had Huey's in every city!

The food at Huey's was good! I had a Grilled Chicken Sandwich with Sweet potato fries and I was satisfied with my meal. They also do free trivia on Wednesday nights and my friends and I had a pretty fun time! The restaurant is also located at an accessible location in downtown Memphis.

Incredible food. Great customer service. Menu had great variety of food. Everything was delicious. Definitely would eat here again when we come back. Louisiana residents APPROVED!!
