Honey's Restaurant

I would consider this place as a hidden gem. I visited over two years ago, and was impressed with the entire dining experience. Attentive staff, food quality excellent, and the price is very reasonable.Now I have visited the location at least three times recently. It stood the test of time, and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.Best known for the Slawburger, but to be honest all of their food is very tasty.

We come through Fayetteville regularly and decided to stop and eat here. At first we were very excited and it was very nice. Lots of people working in the kitchen. Couple girls and a couple guys. But the guys were just fixing a machine. Got menus and we actually were commenting on how much a burger and fries was. Like it was 1985 in here. The waitress even said something. So We ordered. Got our food and it was good. Then we got the bill. And it was almost double what we thought it would be. WhenI asked the waitress said, "yeah, the prices have gone up because of Covid and The economy!" I mentioned the menus and the comments we had before and she just said sorry, they haven't printed new menus. Like it was hard to print paper menus. We won't be going back.

Just exploring around the area and was intrigued by the slaw burger. Had to try one. The place was empty at 4:30 on a Monday. The employee said she just got done with a rush. The place seemed nice.That being said I loved the burger. The slaw was sweet and a little tart. It was made fresh. I could probably eat a dozen of these. Try one!

Terrible!!!!!!!!!!!! We have been coming here for several years but NO more. Last couple of times it's been bad. Today was terrible. Ordered 2 roast beef sandwiches and the beef was bad smelled and tasted bad. Told the waitress and her response was "well I done eat roast beef" that was it. No I'm sorry or do you want anything else. So we had fries for lunch and they charged us for that and we left. With no "I'm sorry" nothing. To bad because we love a local restaurant

Uhm... No. a complete disaster. No ventilation; smoke filled. No servers. Staffed by teenagers volunteering; telling patrons they weren't servers. Out of this, out of that. Just clearly having some serious problems and not in a position to be taking money from patrons in return for service. The volunteers were at least friendly. The people behind the counter were rude.

Order was lost and apparently the waitress didn't check until I asked. I was there for 40 minutes and didn't get food. The last time I asked she said it was another five minutes, and just told her to cancel it. I was starving by this point. Apparently they only care about regular customers and not ones that just drop in. I will never go back! The floor is beyond dirty. This isn't the first time I got bad service and was giving them another chance.

I was in town for business and wanted to support local places so we picked this. I ordered a starter and fish and chips. My colleague ordered chops and mozzarella sticks. He got his sticks and didn't get my shrimp. Ten minutes or so I got my burnt fish and no chips. They said I didn't get them because I asked for their weird coleslaw. I told them that was extra and still wanted my fries. They brought his lunch out later and no fries. Then they brought my cold shrimp. I told them before I didn't want it and still needed fries. No fries. The girl didn't act like she cared and it was my fault I didn't want the shrimp. Also argued about the fry thing which I reminded them i wanted the slaw as extra. Finally the other lady fixed it. Nice local place with a lot of movie posters and history. Hope they get their act together.

Yes, please. Visit Honey's and have an Original Slawburger. It's so good they named a festival after it. For real. And there's a slawburger eating contest where the winner walks away with a champion belt (see pics). What is a slawburger, you ask? Think a tangy, mustardy, dill relish cabbage slaw slathered on a burger and you pretty have it. We missed this year's festival by a week but we did our part to support a local legend by dropping by for an early dinner. We ordered a Slawburger, Honey Melt and Delta Blues as well as onion rings, tater tots and fries. Interestingly enough, we were reading reviews while we waited and several folks commented on order mix-ups. Yep, happened to us too but rather than be annoyed, we just laughed and moved our sandwiches around until we got it right! Beef patties are fresh and handmade. We watched them scoop out a batch to pat later. Everything is prepared at the grill and fryers right in plain sight. We had a great time and found the staff nice and helpful. Overall, it did look like the place could use a deep cleaning and removal of non-essential "stuff" laying around but nothing so bad as to keep me from visiting again if we are ever in the neighborhood.

BEWARE! We went to register to pay for food ordered and we were overcharged. We told waitress that we were overcharged and the total was incorrect. Should have been around $12 and was charged $17. Was then told menu prices are not correct Is this not bait and switch? We will not be back.

Nightmare experience, the employees are completely unqualified and uncaring, items on menu no longer available, can't get orders straight or completed. After 40 years we'll never go back. I'd recommend avoiding this restaurant and eating somewhere else.
