For whatever reason, Honeybaked Ham has decided not to sell inside Krogers anymore. I am devastated! But at least they opened a seasonal location here for those of us who don't want to trek all the way to Cordova to the regular store. The downsides to the seasonal store (I can't speak for the regular one) is that you can't get samples or slices by the pound here. It's also only open during the times posted so it won't be all year. The workers sure hope they make it more permanent but we shall see!

Initially I was very excited to see this store open and even more excited to see an online reservation for pickup option. Unfortunately Honeybaked dropped the ball and my experience was a disaster. I reserved turkey for pickup on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. After years of fretting over HB selling out before I could get to their store, I thought I could rest easy with a confirmation. Upon store arrival I was non-chalantly told the reservation system had not worked, my turkey was not there AND they had sold out. I was instructed to drive to either Park Ave or Olive Branch store. Seething, I drove to Park store only to be faced with no parking spots and a line of at least a hundred people snaked around the bldg. After attempts to reach Collierville store by phone (no phone # found online), I reached Park store mgr who graciously allowed me to sweat the line and FINALLY get my turkey. This debacle consisted of an extra two hours of my time on a day I was trying to prepare for Thanksgiving. Yes I received some "I'm sorry" but no compensation for time, trouble or added expense for their mistake. I don't understand why the onus of correcting their mistake was placed upon me. I should have received at least an email or phone call once they knew the online system failed. Instead the entire experience was a nightmare and I am reluctant to further deal with HB. I will be contacting corporate offices next week for hopefully an acceptable apology and remedy.UPDATE: As of today 12/17, STILL no followup from HB corporate offices despite complaint call with customer service. Pathetic.
