I love the bbq at hog heaven. The ribs not so much, but their sauce and fries / potato salad are awesome. Abby who works there is always generous. Would recommend, and they have replaced the old Niels bbq with my family, which is terrible now.

So many bbq places serve only the cue. Hog Heaven offers up solid handmade burgers, bologna, salads and all sorts of other items. It's sorta a beat-up place, probably from the late 1950s or early 1960s, located adjacent to the city cemetery but also near rec fields. But it's worth finding. Service was great. It's three stars however because the bbq on my baked potato was cold, the cheese never really melted. Take those extra seconds in the kitchen please!

Welcome to Hog Heaven! Found this place by searching Google maps for restaurants. Glad we chose this friendly establishment. Easy to find right on the corner. Get their early this place slings some mean sandwiches. They're sauces are not scrawny, they are brawny and all the rage, to the point they are down right savage.Pass by the other joints in town and head right here.

Service was amazing and the food was even better. Some of the best beer battered onion rings I've ever head and pulled pork sandwich was perfect. I will be returning the next time I am in Dyersburg.

Passing through Dyersburg en route from St. Louis to Mississippi, we took a little detour to this place after finding it here on Yelp. Previous reviews used phrases like "down home" and really praised the friendly service, and so how could we resist? Well worth the stop! My husband and I both had rib plates and sampled the pulled pork on the side as well! Very delicious, dry rubbed ribs with a smoky sweet sauce on the side. As far as the sides go, the standout is absolutely the homemade ranch potato salad, and my husband's onion rings were so crispy you could hear the crunch across the table! Really tasty stuff, and the friendly reputation was well deserved! We'll definitely be back again next time we go to visit family!

Best BBQ around reasonably priced too! Growing up in the BBQ belt a BBQ joint has extremely high standards to compete with. They have mastered it.

The address on yelp is wrong. It is actually at 1320 Shelby Drive in Dyersburg. Great local joint with a friendly female staff. I got the pulled pork bbq plate, which was excellent. The potato salad was aces! They also have a daily lunch special.

Excellent barbecue with great choices of styles and sides but the service at the drive through window put it head and shoulders above others. I made it there just before closing when I know they were wanting to close but they didn't rush me and were extremely attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I had family visiting from Tucson who wanted "real" barbecue and told me it was the best they ever had and wished I had gotten them sauce to take back with them.

Nice people, good food and cheap. However, if you're looking for a large variety of barbecue, they do not have it.

Hubs and I thought we'd try Tennessee Q for lunch at Hog Heaven. The place was busy, with a full lot and full drive through, but it's bigger inside than it looks and we were able to easily seat ourselves at a table. Anna was our excellent server, being patient with all our questions and suggesting the white beans, which were really good. Hubs had the big sandwich and fries, and we shared the rib plate. He liked the sauce in the red bottle best, I liked the white bottle; it's southern style vinegar based sauce and I thought the sauce was great, fragrant with spice and a perfect compliment to the meat.Ribs were the favorite item we tried. St Louis style with the little bone/fatty part left on, they were huge, tender, 4 on the plate, so plenty to share and enjoy. Hubs is not normally a rib person, but 3 of them ended up on his plate! Seriously so good, we'd probably be eating ribs there every week if we lived in Dyersburg. We really enjoyed our lunch and would have rated Hog Heaven 5 star if the onion rings had come out hot. They're not house-made, but a good quality ring, and rings should always be hot from the fryer, which these were not. If we ever have occasion to go again, I'd ask the lovely Anna to make sure they came out hot and I know she'd do it. And I think we'd try the bologna, a southern specialty. By the way, the ribs are only available the last half of the week, so don't be upset if they're not available on a day early in the week. I heard several people ordering chess pie, we were too full to try it, but it must be good, maybe one of you yelpers can check it out.
