Hig's Restaurant

We tried it twice. Food is not bad. The restaurant is a little dirty. We ate there today and I have an upset stomach tonight. May or may not be related. Front desk cashier is not very friendly or thankful you came. It's just okay. Probably won't go back.

The salad bar is very good. The food bar is just OK. Deserts are good. The food is not good all the time.

3 Prime rib steak dinners to go-$38.50 seems fair....Until I get to birthday event and NONE WERE COOKED AS ORDERED.... Now I have sold the OWNER RETAIL PRODUCTS, and WILL BE BRINGING THIS TO HIS ATTENTION. I expect he would be dissapointed to say the least if I sold him defective product he did not want. NO TOPPINGS included for baked potato, no napkins,and of course no plastic ware. I WILL NOT BE MAKING THIS MISTAKE AGAIN.

Great, Southern buffet. I love their Catfish, but everything else there is good and homemade as well.

The salad bar was ok, that's what the one star is for. The fried catfish was all crust and very little fish. The the fried chicken, was dried and again mainly crust. The only other meat was pork bbq. It too, was dried out and cold. There was no healthy alternative as far as meat was concerned. The turnip greens were to salty. They did have serval deserts out but I did not have any. Service was good. I really cannot understand why a restaurant like this continues to stay in business. There's no need for me to waist money by coming back here.

Great buffet and food selection. Dont try to over think it. If you like buffets give this place a try.

I will definitely eat here again. They have a very large, fresh salad bar and lots of good food on the buffet. I had the fried catfish and it was good. They also have a menu if you don't want the buffet.

After being told by several people how good this place was, we came it for dinner. First off, not very clean, buffet had dried out food so we opted for the menu. Prime rib was severely over cooked, dry and lacked any seasoning. Sirlon steak my husband ordered, wasn't cooked to ordered and when we returned it, she took the steak dinner off but charged us almost $9 for the salad. Son ordered 6 pcs catfish, first only got 4 and they brought him his other 2 pcs they weren't completely cooked. Needless to say we were very disappointed and we won't be returning.

First day in milan tn and for dinner we decided on trying this local restaurant and let me tell you what a huge mistake that was. Called in a to go order around 7:37 pm which is kind of late but I was busy unpacking all day. I show up at 7:55 to get the food and the lady for got to put in the order which I was okay with I was just going to leave and get something else. The lady told me it's not a big deal and they would have it ready in 10 to 15mins and I agreed. They close at 8 o'clock so the cooks were probably pissed off and the food was terrible. I had no silverware and non at the new house. My baked potato had no butter salt pepper nothing. The fries were cold and I mean cold cold. My hamburger steak had nothing on it just a patty of meat idk if it's suppose to have gravy or something on it but it was trash. The only thing worth eatting from this food run was the grilled cheese for my little girl. I got punished by the cooks for a mistake the girl at the front made. My little girl was crying due to the fact I had to stay up their so long and didn't get a apology or anything.

Best damn soul food and catfish place the area!!! The other reviews may have just went at a time when they closing. But I'm in love with this place!!! Everyth about it is on point!!! Sincere!!! Higgs, I FREAKING LOVE YOUR FOOD AND PLACE OF ESTABLISHMENT
