Found this as I was searching in this neighborhood for a hard-to-find item. Wow - great variety and quality for such a small location! They didn't have the meat I was looking for (Veal), but did have a respectable selection of brand-name cold cuts and fresh cuts of meat. I picked up several items I'd normally go to my local Kroger for (and not always will they be in-stock there): Hot Italian sausage; cornbread - baked as well as mix; fresh thyme; cashew bits (saved me the time to mince). People in this neighborhood are lucky to have this place

Great neighborhood grocery store that was saved from extinction a few years back. They have a great selection and an excellent meat department with great service all around. I was also really impressed by the wine and craft beer selection. I also think the overall store condition is in much better shape than it used to be, but it still preserves that quaint feeling of a small grocer. The prices are, not surprisingly, a little bit more than your big box stores, but I'll gladly pay a little extra to support a local mom and pop business. This is my new, go-to store now that I'm back in the area regularly for work after having lived here for over a decade until 2018. Glad to be home!!

High Point Grocery is not too far from my house, but Kroger is a bit closer. It is definitely nice to have a little neighborhood store nearby though just in case I'm in need of something quickly. You can get in and out of High Point Grocery with no problems. Parking is easy, and the shopping experience is much less hectic than large supermarkets. The selections are surprisingly impressive for such a small store. You can find all of your staple items, and whatever else is on your list within minutes. I agree with Jolynna that the service is great- very personable. Prices are a bit higher than Kroger, but to me, the extra cash is well spent on the time-saving, no hassle benefits.

This little store is one of the best places for pork chops and steak in Memphis. Steve Shea is the man who runs the butcher shop. He has decades of experience and takes pride in his work. (Example: For those of you who like the burgers at Alex's Tavern, Highpoint supplies the ground beef to Rocky and Andy.) You will also find a lot of local items in this store. The prices are acceptable and in many cases, quite competitive. Shop here and know that your dollars are helping to drive our important local economy. No Wall St ownership at this little gem. The retro feel of this place will have you reeling with déjà vu moments as you approach the old school checkout tables and walk the aisles. A produce section in the back corner has a respectable selection. A visit here is a fun experience with good people running a local business. Do not miss it!

Great little neighborhood store! Not all Brands or flavors are carried due to store size but all Categories are very well represented. Beautiful full-service Meat Market! For my first visit, I was very impressed with this store and plan to visit regularly!
