Hearth Restaurant

Stopped in the Hearth for lunch on Saturday. There was a great salad bar and down-home-style hot food bar. The fried chicken was very good. I should've stopped with the salad and chicken; but everything looked so good I had to try lots of other stuff. Yes, you'll be stuffed! Very good old-fashioned cooking. Waitress was very attentive.

The food is good but a very small buffet, service could be better. The atmosphere when you walk in the place is a little dim but a little color and more sociable and smilie staff would be great.

My shout goes to the staff at The Hearth Restaurant! They are always smiling, attentive and super nice! Craig Ford goes beyond making the best biscuits in Tennessee!! He has offered to bring my mother meals when I am not there to take care of her!! What a great man!

Okay. Here we go. As you guys know with every review I always write the truth. So I went to the hearth when my aunt and uncle were visiting. They wanted a buffet and the hearth was plan B after old west but their buffet was currently closed since it was a weekday and dinner time. So we went to the hearth. I got something that I thought was country fried because of the breading but I couldn't tell if it was chicken or pork until after I asked the waitress. The food was okay I mean I've had better but you also shouldn't have to ask a worker to refill something you want. They should be able to see its almost empty or empty and refill it without being asked. In my opinion it wasn't worth the money I spent.

I ate their buffet. It had a lot of choices. Many delicious items including deserts! I'd highly recommend this place especially for the money. They are both delicious and affordable. Nice family atmosphere on a Sunday for sure.

Placed a simple order Saturday morning of pancakes/bacon and a side over easy egg, called the order in was to be ready in 10-15. Got there waited and waited so I asked about my order and was told they're getting it ready now, mind you I had been there 20 minutes already,I'm a very patient person but 40 minutes... Got my order home, burnt pancakes, no syrup or butter and egg was barely cooked. Needless to say I will NEVER spend another penny at THE HEARTH, absolutely horrible.

Morning meal during rodeo weekend. Service was slow, had multiple servers, buffet was 11.99 with barely anything in the buffet. Though the Salad bar had more selection than the breakfast- kinda odd. Waited about 10 mins to order drinks and took about an hour to get our food. My gf ordered meat sandwich with hash browns, she got a bun with ham slice and lettuce. She rates it 2/10, not worth the price. I ordered the sizzling flapjacks French toast, the ham was good and egg was good, average French toast, rate 5/10. Waitresses say "I'm sorry" about anything alot. The ambiance was slow and overwhelmed.

Only 2 stars because sometimes they are open and most times they are not. Isn't what it used to be. Most stuff seems like it comes right off the Sysco truck, opened with a can opener, and served. I can really do this at home. Will find better choices until they make up their minds on if they are going to be in business or out.

Food buffet is rather small but has a giant salad bar, service wasn't the best but it's a nice spot to bring your family.

Service was great. That's about it. Came in for breakfast. The hash browns tasted sweet and cinnamon flavored. I think they were cooked in bad grease. The scrambled eggs tasted like water (not even sure how that happened). Biscuits were dry and hard. Ham was super salty. Oh, the bacon actually was okay. Didn't care for how my feet stuck to the floor in the bathroom tho. I won't be back.
