Excellent BBQ! Take the exit off 24 and it is about a mile and a half off the highway. Wonderful restaurant and great people.

Stopped in on the way through. A group of 8 of us stopped in for lunch. Only gave the three stars because the customer service was decent. 7 of us got our meals that were a 2 out of 5 sadly. I just assume it was a rough day for the kitchen as they were packed. But the 8th person waited 30 minutes before we had to go in and ask them for it. Every meal we ordered was very dry and bland. We were very excited for this. But would love to try them again maybe when it's earlier in the day and the food is a little more fresh. But thanks again for the customer service. It was 4/5.

A local treasure off the beaten path but also not too far from the highway. Stopped here for supper on our way through. My husband got the BBQ plate with a side of mac n cheese, coleslaw, and cornbread. The pork came smoked but without sauce and you could add the sauce of your choice. The flavor of the pork was delicious and everything you would expect from Tennessee BBQ. The mac n cheese was less cheesy and tasted more like buttered noodles than traditional mac n cheese but it was still good. I ordered the catfish dinner and it came with white beans, coleslaw, fries, and hush puppies. The flavor of the breading on the catfish, and the hush puppies were SO delicious! The coleslaw had a sweet taste to it, something ive never tasted on coleslaw before but I wasn't disappointed at all. The owners were working and were both so nice and inviting. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for local food while passing through.

A crime against all things BBQ. Low-effort pulled pork that could've come from a Sam's Club bulk package, canned beans they call "baked," under-cooked chicken and an inexplicable stale pancake. If you care this little about food, why would you open a restaurant?Just say no.

We had heard great things about this place, so we were excited to try it out. We got a pulled pork family pack to go with mac & cheese, bbq beans and cornbread. We added slaw and a half rack of ribs. Our total bill was $38. Unfortunately, we could have just thrown that in the trash for what we got. Meat- The pork seems to have been thrown in a blender, not pulled. There are hunks of fat mixed in that are indiscernible until it's in your mouth... and on top of that, there's no flavor. We added sauce at the house, but that didn't help the cause. - The ribs were the only decent flavored thing, but very tough and dry. Sides- The slaw is sweet. Not vinegar based, but also not really mayo based either. It has good crunch, but that's the only thing I can say positively about it. - The beans are straight up Busch's. Actually, Busch's may have more flavor. But it tastes very "canned" regardless. - The macaroni... I'm actually not sure I knew mac & cheese could be this gross. It has hardly any cheese flavor. I added salt and pepper, but unfortunately couldn't salvage it because the noodles are mush. - The cornbread cakes are dry and flavorless. Perhaps they had an off day? I hate to complain about a place with such nice staff, but I can't recommend this as a place to eat. As much as we want to support a local business, we can get better quality at Wise Guys, Whitt's or the food truck at the Gulf station.

Friendly people and the food is great! We just wish they made their own sauces like many other locals do. (Homemade sauces are our favorite part of bbq and what makes each restaurant stand out from the rest). But other than that, we love heads! Highly recommend the ribs!

I just got finished eating at Heads BBQ, and I am truly stuff but my tastebuds are not satisfied. I got a bbq sandwich (it's not called pulled pork because it's not pulled but shredded), mac & cheese and a hash brown casserole. The entire meal was flavorless, I'm not sure how I couldn't taste cheese from the mac & cheese. The person I went here with, had the bbq beans instead of the casserole. According to him, the beans had flavor but it also tasted like it was from a can. In short, the staff is super friendly and nice. You'll get stuff here, but with flavorless food.

Great bbq. I bought three pounds froze it and then heated it back up in a crock pot at my family reunion and it was good as new!
