Hattie B’s Hot Chicken

I think this was our favorite meal of our whole trip.The staff was so nice. The place was clean and service was fast. The food.... The food was insane. Best potato salad ever. Best fries. Amazing sandwich. Only thing we didn't care for was the banana pudding and peach cobbler. Wasn't our thing. But everything else was 10/10.

It might just be me, but I thought this place was just okay.We ordered the 3 fried tenders combo, which came with two sides. The chicken was a bit tough, the red skin potatoes were good, but the bacon cheddar grits were AMAZING. My friends were judging me for ordering the grits, but they ended up loving them just as much as I did.We also ordered one fountain drink, we tried the lemonade and ice tea but couldnt mix it well enough for a delicious Arnold Palmer. I think the tea could've used more sugar, and the lemonade could've been more sour. .I wouldn't mind giving Hattie B's another shot, though--I definitely want to try their bone-in chicken and banana pudding.

Me and wife came here due to the great reviews and hype. We were both very excited to try. We got here pretty early for lunch so line was small. Wife wasn't that hungry so got the kids meal with nuggets hot and I got the 3 piece tenders with fries and mac and cheese. I'll start by saying the hot had a good heat but the flavor was basically chili powder maybe. While the mild was mild and the flavor was ok. The chicken isn't that juicy and breading not that crispy. I admit we expected way more. It was ok. The Mac and cheese in my mind is a fail. The fries also ok. Neither me or wife would choose to go here again we would go if with others who wanted to try. To me this place is one of those that's all hype and doesn't quite deliver.

I've had hot chicken many many times in my life, but oddly enough, never from an institutional establishment in Nashville. And I have to say, it was good, but a bit of a mixed bag. Arriving for dinner, this location's small parking lot was full up, so initially it was a bit painful to find a spot. After finally getting one, it was in and to order. I was a bit surprised by how chain/corporate-y this place was. Felt more like walking into a snazzier KFC than a real down home chicken sandwich place. Alas, I digress...Had a true hot chicken sandwich with pimento cheese and was pleasantly surprised by how well the chicken itself was seasoned, the overall spice level, and how juicy it was. The pickles really made it. The pimento Mac and cheese I had with it was...interesting, but ultimately no better than blue box. Overall it was good, but I doubt I'd make a special stop for it again in the future. It's definitely a good option "if you're hungry and nearby".

Got to dine in at Hattie B's and it was such a treat. Went with the white meat and got 2 sides, the Mac N cheese and Bacon Cheddar Grits. Both were superb. The chicken was freshly made and super juicy. The Damn Hot was flavorful and super spicy, but enjoyable. The service as a whole was great. Cashier was great explaining the options and gave great recommendations. Seating can be a little tight, but worth the wait. Parking is right in the lot, but don't let it deter you from visiting. The food is top notch and lives up to the expectations when coming to Nashville for Hot Chicken!

My family (minus my dad) loves Hattie B's! I've been to this location twice and this most recent visit was in the winter, and they have a nice heated cover over the porch dining area. If anything it was too hot over there! The chicken was great, I had the small dark meal. My brother insisted we go here first thing after our plane landed if that tells you anything, because there's a lot of good places to get food in Nashville. The staff at this location are really friendly, and while I've seen it get busy it's not as crazy as the one on Broadway of course. It's clean and there's plenty of seating inside or on the porch. I'm looking forward to my next visit!

Our trip to Hattie B's Nashville Hot Chicken was something I won't soon forget, but not for good reasons. After waiting 30 minutes in line, our excitement quickly faded. What we got wasn't worth the time or trouble. It felt more like a gut punch than a tasty meal.Now, the chicken itself? It was just fried chicken slathered in cayenne pepper. Nothing special, and honestly, it wasn't even all that good. I'm not from Nashville, but I can say this: I wouldn't go back. Everyone ate the chicken, and we all suffered for it later.As I write this, my stomach still feels like it's doing flips. Every person who went with me had the same experience. Once we got home, we all had to run for the bathroom. Even our friend, who loves spicy food, couldn't finish his meal--and if he couldn't handle it, you know it's bad.Final thoughts? I'd give it a six out of 10, and that's being nice. The banana pudding wasn't memorable, but at least it didn't make me sick. The peach cobbler? A complete disaster. Save yourself the trouble and don't even bother.The wait? Way too long. People who ordered online got their food first, while we stood outside in the rain. To make things worse, someone's dog left a mess right by the line, and nobody cleaned it up. So we had to stand there smelling dog poop and dealing with our friend Greg's farts. It was quite the experience.If you're looking for regret and a stomach ache, this place will do the job. Otherwise, I'd stay far away--or at least bring some Tums and a pooper scooper. You've been warned.

Had to check out this Nashville standard during my visit, not disappointed. Chicken was hotter than I would've expected, even for the medium heat level. Sides were delicious and atmosphere was right on. Employees were friendly and food came to our table quickly.

I had tried hot chicken at other places before I tried this popular place and I was tat-bit nervous of getting disappointed for it could be hyped, but I was so wrong.The chicken is perfectly crisp and nicely spiced. I ordered Chicken tenders with blue cheese and pimento mac n cheese with extra crispy fries on the side. And it was amazing, loved everything including the sides. Mild hot chicken is safe choice.The service took a little longer than I'd expected but no complaints, when the food is this good. We wanted to avoid the long line that most Hattie B's have so we visited here and its relatively less crowded even for a weekend. The eatery has enough sitting and an intentional grunge looking ambiance. There is parking right outside the eatery, but if you still don't find parking there, you need not worry, because there is public pay and park just about 300 meters from the restaurant.

Food and service tenders and fries were great. Really good spice! Driver on time and friendly!!
