Service is top notch and the new renovation looks fabulous. My waiter was very attentive. Many restaurants disappear over the years but Harvey's still still standing. It is in a convenient location also. Dinner is better than lunch I have to say. I complain about lunch menu is because the portion is kinda small and some sides are lukewarm.

After a day exploring the Natchez Trace, an early dinner was called for and are we glad we tried Harvey's! We were warmly greeted when arriving, even though it was mid-afternoon. Our server, Heather, was incredibly knowledgeable and personable and we thoroughly enjoyed her company throughout the meal. Cocktail and a beer, then late lunch (served til 4pm, it mirrors the dinner menu with a lesser price) were served quickly and were delicious! Shrimp skewers over grits with a great glaze and corn salsa were beautiful to look at and oh so tasty! The Wednesday special, fried chicken breast with mac & cheese and green beans were perfect-crunchy moist chicken, casserole was filled with creamy Mac with a bit of a spicy crumb and the green beans-no can here! Finished with dessert which was big enough to share but I did not! Bread pudding topped with French vanilla ice cream and crème anglaise. The restaurant reminds me of an old-style steakhouse and is so pretty! You must go.

While at a conference in Starkville, my husband and I decided to check out Harvey's. My husband told me that he had dined there 30 years earlier when he was in high school. The restaurant has been nicely renovated, the college decor is very tastefully done. We were promptly seated and our waitress (KP) shared with us the evening specials and got our drink and appetizer order. We tried the Blood Orange Margarita and a pour of Four Roses bourbon on the rocks for our drinks. We ordered the broccoli bites as an appetizer. KP got those going while we perused the menu. Lots of good options but we ultimately both ordered the specials. I tried the swordfish special and my husband chose the ribeye special. We really enjoyed the broccoli bites, followed by a house and Ceaser salad that came with the specials. I'm very picky about salads and I really enjoyed trying both. Both of the specials came out beautifully plated and perfectly cooked. We both saved about 1/2 our meal so we would have room to share a piece of bread pudding. Everything was excellent! I hope to visit again soon.

Recommend by my daughter. I had a late lunch on my way to the library. I started with the artichoke dip appetizer. It was big enough for four people. Very good. Then I had the seafood special. Shrimp and grits with a spicy sauce. It was just what I needed. I'll be back.

I took my girlfriend here tonight for her birthday. I asked them to put flowers and a card on the table for her just for fun. they went way beyond and had a beautiful bouquet they let us take home for free, and they had all the employees sign a card for her saying happy birthday. they even gave us our dessert for free for her birthday. I go out to eat a lot and never had this good of service. the food was great too and everything went perfectly. Decor is beautiful also. I will definitely be back!

I never pass up a chance to visit Harvey's when I'm in bulldog country. I always enjoy having the prime rib or any of their steaks. our server was amazing and extremely friendly. It's always great to visit Harvey's.

In town for a conference and stopped in for dinner at Harvey's. One of the best meals ever! Our waitress, Madison, was super helpful and steered us in the right direction food-wise. Pimiento dip was outstanding and the shrimp skewers were excellent. Honestly, even the side salad was memorable! To top it off, it was half price on bottles of wine. Probably my favorite part of Starkville has been this meal. Highly recommend.
