Great food , nice atmosphere , good customer service. Prices affordable. The food was delicious. The taco salad was a little too greasy and also salty. But overall it was good.

The sweet tea is yummy! I love that they give me my own bowl of salsa. The chips and salsa is great! The cheese sauce is also good. I had a taco and enchilada and almost licked my plate clean because I enjoyed it so much. The price is perfect.

Is this place over the top good? No. But they are a good place at a good price with good service. And the one thing that I think IS over the top are their chips! They are about the most flavorful chips I've ever had.The menu is typical Mexican/Tex-Mex, so no surprises there. One thing that was nice was I wanted something that wasn't on the menu--a chorizo chimichanga--and the waitress immediately said, "Sure, we can do that."I also want to applaud them for getting the changes in my order right, because if they didn't I'm sure I would have put it in my review--so they should get credit as willingly as I would complain! I am not a beans fan, so I ordered double rice to replace the beans on the platter and they made sure to get it right.In summary, overall service was good, special requests were handled, food was a good value and tasty (though nothing special), and the chips were AWESOME. I've already been to visit twice, and will be back when I'm in Coldwater and in the mood for Mexican.

Love this local authentic Mexican food. Small but friendly. Food is great! I haven't ever gotten anything bad or incorrect here.

I prefer to support local businesses. I live in Coldwater where Habaneros is located. From now on I'll drive to Hernando, Ms. I ordered 3 taco salads ($7 each), 3 ala carte tacos (1.50 each) to go, and a Corona while I waited. My total was $34. When I got home with my order that was tied up in the bag, I discovered the taco salads were in a very small taco bowl, and consisted of about a 1/2 cup of ground beef covered with shredded lettuce, about a teaspoon of guacamole, and a teaspoon of sour cream. They were topped with, and I'm not exaggerating here, about a pinch of shredded cheese. The tacos themselves were your normal hard tacos, ground beef, lettuce, shredded cheese. Opening the bag at home I discovered they had only included 1 small bag of tortilla chips, 1 small cup of salsa (none for dressing the taco salads even though I had ordered 3 entree salads!) and 1.... ONE... plastic utensil pack for 3 people to eat with. I called and complained about this, and the only response I got was "I'm sorry". I don't expect nor want anything for free. But I expect to get what I pay for. There was no offer of anything to try and make it right. I will not be spending my money here EVER again. Even though they are the ONLY place in town besides another small local cafe that closes at 6. I will drive the 8 miles to Hernando and spend my money with someone who appreciates my business. The food is only marginal Mexican fare. I've had worse, but generally I've had much better.

This is a great little cozy place to eat the food and the staff are very good. I come here at least twice a week.

Whatever you decide to order, order it with ground beef! The flavor of the ground beef is a delight to taste buds! Service is fast too!

What it lacks in atmosphere, you gain in food. The waitresses are friendly and quickly take your order. The chips and salsa are spot on. I've never been disappointed with my order. It's a diamond in the rough.

One more than one occasion have I spent my money at this restaurant. No one in there seems to know how things work nor do they show you any kind of respect when you order things when they are the ones who don't know the prices. Ridiculous. I ordered TWO large cheese dips and an extra salsa because a tiny bit came with it. Then I was given ONE bag of chips and had to force them for another one.
