Gyro City

It's the Best Gyro place. Great food and friendly service. Clean and fast service. The prices are very affordable for all you get.

My lovely lady and I both just moved to Ashland City from Southern California. We had only been in the area for a full 24hrs, our property is totally in a state of primordial development at best, thus we had no power, utilities, etc. It was lat Saturday night, and since we come from a different world where things are opened on the weekend we thought it would be the same here in small town TN... NOPE! Only the fast food places are opened... then we saw this funny little place called Gyro City flashing an enthusiastic OPEN sign! We were tremendously excited since we LOVE small family businesses. So we went in to try them out.Their offerings were very interesting. Never seen a BBQ gyro or a Philly Cheesesteak gyro, but I'm totally down for new and interesting. We also ordered the dolma (grape leaves as he called them) and two drinks... We are not used to humidity (being former desert dwellers) so this oppressive atmosphere is stifling. This place offers real lemonade, mango juice, and strawberry juice, AMAZING CURES for terribly hot sticky days!The food was delicious! I'm a real fan of both Philly and BBQ gyros, especially when you combine them with a gyro topping selection akin style to your typical sandwich restaurant (pick toppings for him to put on your gyro) which are very tasty. The rice was good, the pita bread was good, and the drinks were the best!The owner told me they have only been open 7 months, and I hope he can stick with it and stay open for MANY more to come. I'll be happy to wander in late nights on the weekend when I'm not looking for a #1 or something from your local *fast food chain*.

My favorite place to eat in Ashland City. I crave this kind of food more than any other.I'm a fan of fresh food and vegetarian options. Gyro City has both. The food is Egyptian origin, my favorite. Hummus is good. Grape leaf rolls are delicious, falafel is good. Taziki is good. Tabuli is balanced and fresh. They also have a rotisserie meat (lamb? I didn't ask) for gyros.Haven't tried the baklava yet, but it looked like they used walnut. I was surprised to see so many traditional desserts, will definitely be trying at least one of those next time. Service is great. Friendly. Clean atmosphere. Had a kids movie playing in the dining area. Will be coming back at least every couple of weeks.

Probably a 3.5 but I'm rounding up because "4" is easily within their reach. We used "GrubHub" as we had a gift card and this was the only delivery option via that app in the area. We love gyros and have been meaning to try this location though but haven't eaten out during the current pandemic. Any way, the food was pretty good. The important stuff is right--the rice is good, the gyro meat/platters are very good, and the falafel is great. The fries could have been crispier (they were actually better the next day fresh from a reheat in the oven which is rare for fries) and the chicken wings lean soggy rather than crispy but nothing was bad by any means. The main issue I had with our first order was that we scheduled it for a specific time and it arrived an hour early and a bit cold (so it was probably cooked well before our requested delivery time). Friendly staff, good prices, and solid food though.

Food was made fresh to order. Staff was very friendly. Down side was the ventilation, after frying multiple orders of chicken wings the facility became a little smoky. We enjoyed this spot for a quick dinner stop.

Such a great surprise to find good gyro in Ashland City. The rice could use a little work, but still good. Pray this place stays open. I fear the location may be difficult for them to succeed. Feel like they'd do much better in the wal-mart center. Will be back

Best Gyros in town, always fresh. They make it when you order it. Everything I have had here is really good! Great customer service too
