I will preface this by saying I did not actually get anything repaired at Guy's. I would have if the person at the desk had been nicer or more willing to talk to me, but so it goes. I needed the buckle on a boot replaced. As I was explaining what was wrong with it, rather than look at me, or the boot, the woman at the counter wrote my ticket out, then took the boots and said they would be ready in 2 weeks. These are not expensive boots. I just like them, but it would be almost as cheap, and certainly faster, to just buy new ones. So I said, no, thank you, but I didn't want to wait that long (and I get it that it takes time - this was a last ditch, I'm in the neighborhood effort), so I was just going to go. That earned me a huge sigh of disgust and a violent tearing up of my ticket. Add that to the weird nationalist propaganda all over the place, the general dinginess of the store, the fact that they don't take cards, and the rudeness I experienced over the phone, and I definitely wouldn't recommend Guy's to anyone I liked.

Great service and very reasonable prices! My boyfriend wanted some patches sewn onto his Harley jacket. I took the jacket two places specializing in alterations and they both said that it couldn't be done due the location of the pocket. So, I decided to try a shoe and luggage repair business, thinking that they might have equipment more suited for the job.I did an internet search for a business close to me and Guy's Shoe & Luggage Repair was first on the list. I decided to take a piece of my boyfriend's luggage with me that wasn't being used because of a few broken zippers. It's a heavy-duty bag that that has seen years of rough use, but replacing it with an equivalent would be very expensive. I figured it could be used again with a few repairs.I walked in the store and it was obvious that this is a popular business. Shoes, bags, jackets... lots of them! An organized chaos of sorts. I spoke with the owner (I believe it was the owner) and explained to her what I needed. It took her about 5 seconds to rattle off the price and it sounded more than fair to me. Quite reasonable, in fact. The jacket would be ready in a few days the luggage would take a week longer. When I went to pick up the jacket I was very pleased. She had done exactly what I requested. The same for goes for the retrieval of the luggage. I zippers where repaired to working condition and she had reenforced a few warn areas along the track. She suggested adding a stop to the zipper to prevent further damage to an area that she could not repair. After I agreed, she added the stop on the spot while I waited. It took her about two minuets. I was very please with the service I received here. I know I'll be back with more patches... got some shoes that could use some work too.

I have been doing business with Guy's for 20 years or more. They always do a great job for a reasonable price to me. I have read some of the reviews concerning the manner of the lady at the front desk. She does tend to be quiet and business like but I have never found her rude. It's a locally owned small business. I like doing business with them.

The reviews are accurate- the customer service needs work, but since they are the only luggage repair in town, you're somewhat forced to use them. Be advised: cash only (no cards accepted). The prices were a little high, I think. I paid $15 to have a zipper repaired (not replaced), and $6.00 to have a new pull added to a zipper. That's probably a .10 cent piece, and 5 minutes of "labor." Maybe some competition would drive better service and prices.

I brought a backpack in to have a tear sewn up, after having been turned away from another place. The tear was parallel to a zipper, and didn't appear to be too difficult to fix. The woman that greeted me was polite and helpful. While she was not overly friendly, I found the customer service to be appropriate for the exchange. Tear was repaired, backpack was ready for pickup after 4 p.m. next day, and only cost $10. Was very happy with the result!

I have been using Guy's shoe repair for 10+ years. The work is impeccable and the service is fantastic. I had a pair of 25 year old Birkenstocks that feel like new after being worked on. The cork has been difficult to get, so Guy actually rebuilt the sole, which in itself saved me money and gave new life to these shoes I love so much! Highly recommend.......

I would caution people from going here. I brought shoes that they told me would be ready in a week. I took them in and told them I needed a boot zipper repaired and have them resoled. No problem.I got busy and didn't make it for two and a half weeks later. They couldn't find my boots and when they finally did, they had not been touched. This should have been my first flag, but I gave them the benefit for the doubt bc they said they would be ready by 5 that day. Two days later I go back...SAME thing. I told them I just need to get my boots and the front lady told me they would be ready in 5 minutes. At this point I'm annoyed but waiting. He did resole them, but the zipper was replaced with black thread on a light brown boot and I asked him if the zipper would work and why he would use black thread without asking me. He told me he had to fire someone and was short staffed. Not to be rude, but that's not my problem.... Next he told me to unzip it and I couldn't. It's still not fixed. At this point I was already so frustrated I told him I wanted my boot back and I'll go somewhere else. He told me he could replace the zipper for 1/2 the normal price. No thanks. Terrible service and then they acted like they didn't care of they had my business or not and when I told them that he got furious and started yelling at me. I am not that person who gets frustrated and tries to make a stink, I just deal with it even if it's at my expense too often, but this was ridiculous and beyond professional. We will be taking our business somewhere else, and with a husband who wears boots Hard, we resole often. Very annoyed.

Will never go back there. The lady who works the front of the store is arrogant beyond belief. Acts like she is doing you a huge favor to write up a ticket. I thought this was the only shoe repair in Bartlett so went there even thought the lady was so rude. Then I brought in a pair of shoes for heels. When I picked them up I saw that the entire front of the shoe had stitching torn out. I asked if this could be fixed and she said yes and did I want to leave them again-meaning another week. I didn't and asked why if this was so noticable someone hadn't called to ask me about fixing it? In fact I now wonder if they maybe caused the stitching to come out as I had not noticed this when I brought them there? Hummm? Anyway I was so ticked off I just left. But I did some research and found a far better shoe repair with a very nice shoe maker and recommend it highly-Bartlett Shoe Repair.
