Gutter Bound Distillery

We often ride our motorcycle to visit distilleries when we don't have a route planned. Located this place and the folks were super nice and loved how they appreciated when people bought local. Just good folks from what I could tell. The shine was good as well. Not to mention everything was 100 proof including the flavored. We bought a bottle and when we run out we have a reason to ride back to Gutter Bound!! Good jobs folks!!! Keep it local!!!

An awesome family run distillery making some amazing moonshine and rum. Alexis walked us through their tasting and it was fantastic and that is coming from a guy who doesn't like Cherry and Peach but couldn't believe how good the peach, peach cobbler and cherry shine tasted. See the attached picture this is what I am taking home with me. If you are anywhere in the area and you want a great time while trying some awesome shine made by a hard working family this is the place to go.

What a great experience. Staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Walked away with 5 bottles of moonshine. Had shots and then moonshine mixed shots. Gave me some great ideas. A must stop!

This place is a hidden gym! We filled our bellies at the Loretta Lynn diner that's next door, then we moseyed up the hill to the distillery. The owners were amazing! We paid $10 each for a tour of the distillery (which came with a taste test). The taste test was AWESOME! Jess, one of the owners, guided us through it. We were presented with a wood board, emblazoned with their wood burned logo at the top, and filled with each of their small batch local moonshine flavors. After each small shot of their different moonshine flavors, Jess would present us with a small shot of a hand crafted cocktail made with the same moonshine. She explained the intricacies of each flavor and what it did and didn't go with. After our tasting, and ordering a full cocktail of each of our favorites, Sanford gave us a tour of the distillery. He explained the history of the new distillery and the process that goes into making their product. This business is a work of love by an amazing, hard working family, and it really shows. Do yourself a favor, and if you're ever in the vicinity of Hurricane Mills, Tn.... stop into Gutter Bound Distillery and see the Markham family and their labor of love. I promise you, you won't be disappointed!! We moved out to Tennessee in April and have been trying our hardest to make friends and get plugged into our community... this place made us feel like family from the minute we walked in. I cannot stress enough how great this place is. 5 stars. Would definitely go again.

Amazing spirits. Family owned. Very welcoming. Must see if traveling from Memphis to Nashville. All spirits are naturally flavored. 10/10!!

Amazing Distillery is an understatement!!!!!! If you are in the area and don't stop in you will regret it!!!!

So don't judge a book by it's cover. But once you get inside and sample their product.... Great selection of various moonshines that are sweet and savory with great recommendations for mixed drinks... friendly staff, family business. Don't forget to get the spicy pickle!

This place is great! Worth the stop on your I-40 drive, you will definitely find a flavor to love. Alexis and the team treat you so well, and are very knowledgeable. Don't hesitate, make the stop, enjoy the shine.

Great people and great drinks!! We took an impromptu trip here from Nashville and it was 1000% worth it! We both got the tasting. So good. I don't like whiskey or rum but didn't mind theirs! Local customers are welcoming and the owners are some of the best people we have met since moving here. The atmosphere is perfect for a group or alone. We will definitely be back soon!

Great place to visit, hang out and taste some good distill. Unfortunately they were out of their vodka and rum, which I was dying to try. Their clear and cherry shines were outstanding. They also mix cocktails for you. Nice room with comfy seating throughout and a bunch of bar seating as well. They sell a good selection of merch too! Friendly folks running the place. Will be back for sure.
