Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken

The chicken is sure amazing. That is what everyone can talk about. The fried green tomatoes and fried okra are special standout sides. But you know what is even better? More special? THE CATFISH. The catfish is the fried chicken batter but on catfish!!! I cannot emphasize how amazing this is. I did not know anyone could convince me any batter other than cornmeal would be better.Come Monday and Tuesday!

I couldn't find this establishment. Did they close? Hoping someone can clarify it for me.

A trip to Gus's is always a treat. The chicken is so tasty and the atmosphere is HIGH Energy.

Gus's chicken is always amazing it satisfies the taste for fried chicken right between mildly spicy chicken and very spicy hot chicken, Gus chicken is always fresh crispy, hot and delicious, prices are a little on the high side if you want white meat, however you will not be disappointed with the portions. Sides are simple, uncomplicated and tasty, pork n beans are unassumingly delicious, they don't look like much but are very, very good. They also serve alcohol at this location, which makes for one heck of a chicken dinner experience. On my last visit chicken was piping hot, however the sides could have been hotter, nonetheless still an excellent dining experience in a clean, cozy and restaurant with a southern feel to it.

Great food and amazing atmosphere. The spice kick in every bite is yummy. Slaw, fried Okra and potato salad a must. Shout out to Mr Sincere for his hospitality and the post vibe lady by the cashier.

I had a 3 wing plate with greens and Mac n cheese, and it was delicious ! I had Gus's before, but this time, they did something different. Added more seasonings, or somebody let Grandma back in the kitchen cause it tasted almost as good as the best chicken I've ever had - which is my Mama's.The service complimented the food. Our server stayed in contact with us, and our cups were never empty. The seats weren't comfortable, but I know that's to make you hurry up and leave! News to Gus and nem....it didn't work! We left after we were good n full! ‍

The service was slow which I wouldn't have minded if they were cooking my chicken but it was just warm. The place is nice and clean but when it comes to my food that needs to be all the way together. Especially now with everything being so much more expensive restaurants really need to be on top of quality control!!! I've eaten here before and the food was very good pre pandemic I guess they don't really care anymore.

I ordered the three piece white chicken. However, I received dark meat . The thighs were small and the pieces was very dry. The slaw was too sweet today, and the orka was slightly burned. The container holding the food was neat.

The name isn't kidding. Best fried chicken I've ever had. Service is always top notch. Warning...it is on the spicy side, so bear that in mind.

We loved our visit to Gus's on Friday. Amber was our waitress & she was great. The food was fabulous too!
