Guacamole's Mexican Restaurant

Food was really good. Guacamole is the best I've ever eaten. They delivered here for a very small fee. We had to hurry and leave the restaurant one evening when they had live music. It was just way too loud and we were trying to watch a football game on their tv. No such luck. Food was ok for the price but it's kinda hard to mess up Mexican food.

We stopped in for a late Wednesday night dinner. Immediately when we walked in we were seated and served. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was fresh and seasoned well. We decided to try a different dish on the menu. I tried cactus for the first time. It's an acquire taste reminds be of zucchini. Also try one of their fresh pressed fruit juices, all natural sugars from the fruit. The only recommendation to the owner is either reupholster the booth chairs, as soon as you sit down you sink in. Also some of them were torn not very appealing to see or sit on. Other than that great local Mexican restaurant.

3.5 Stars overall. The taste quality was so so to good. The quantity was large. The shrimp, rice, guacamole, and salsa were good. Service was fair to good. One of the servers was helpful but I didn't like her recommendation of Fajitas Chivas. Fajitas are said to be liked and ordered a lot here. From what I ordered, I didn't care for most of the meat ingredients in my fajitas.Food was 2 to 4 stars. Not good to good. I was recommended the fajitas chivas with chicken, shrimp, vegetables, steak, beans, & rice. I paid extra for guacamole. It was served with some lettuce and cilantro. They gave me some complimentary chips & salsa. It cost me about $16. If the food was excellent overall, it would be worth $16.The chicken and steak tasted boring and was semi chewy & semi dry. It makes me wary of ordering steak and chicken at Guacamole's again. The chips were stale.The shrimp & rice were the stars. I was very satisfied with the shrimp and the airy & simple Mexican rice. I wish I had more rice. It tasted better than the steak & chicken.The refried beans and vegetables were ok. Nothing spectacular and easily forgettable.I would order again here but I would just stick with lunch specials, the guacamole, the salsa, and rice. I wouldn't order anything more than $10 again.

While I may go back, there were some issues with the food. 1. Salsa had a nice bite to it was just tomato sauce. Nothing else inside. 2. Guacamole Ranchero on the Appetizer menu was very good. 3. Green stuff that comes with food is terrible. Green mayonnaise. 4. Chile Relleno was the size of a baby's hand. Virtually no egg dredge and no cheese inside. Extremely touch skin on the pepper. 5. Chalupa IS NOT a Chalupa. It is a Tostada shell with refried bean paste. Shell was too tough to cut. Google CHALUPA PLEASE!6. Tamal was tasty but had very little meat inside. Tons of Masa. 7. Refried beans could have been sucked thru a straw. No flavor and tasted nasty. 8. Chips served hot and fresh. People were nice so 2 stars however this is just another Tennessee/ Kentucky style cheese whiz Mexican joint.

I found several different menus online for this place, I wanted to call in a pickup order. The two menus I saw had different prices for the lunch menu (first said $7.50 for my item, second said $8). I called in my order. When I picked up, total was way higher than expected. I was not given an itemized receipt so I grabbed a to-go menu. The actual price is $9.95 plus they charge you a 5% fee to simply walk in and take your order home. Wow. Why are their prices increasing so rapidly that they can't even fix the online menus? The menu in store is also completely different from the online menus. They really need to update their web presence. I got the chicken flautas. The chicken was good quality but overall the food lacked flavor. Thankfully I have a wide array of pepper sauces at home, I made it taste better. The rice was really good, which is a huge plus. But for $10 the lunch item didn't even come with beans, just rice. Ordered the cheese dip on the side and it was also very bland. No spice. Little flavor. I ate it, but it wasn't anything to get excited about. For the price I will not return here. Yet another over priced Mexican place. Maybe this is on par for Clarksville but I would recommend you drive the little distance further to Guthrie and go to theirs. Attaching some of the menu I grabbed on 12/2021 so maybe someone else can make a more informed decision about this place.

The service is average. Food portions are huge however the food has no flavor. I had a beef wet burrito and I was better off buying the frozen burritos at Walmart. The meat was really mid and wet. As my husband would say the place was really big portions of really bad food. I wouldn't recommend the place to anyone for the food. The ambience of the place when I went in was okay. Definitely not brimming with people. The place was empty with just a few people in there.

Loveeee this place, every time I go in we always get amazing service! Their fajitas are top tier, And if your a picky eater they always listen to my special requests (even when I get it delivered which everyone knows is a hassle)

I tried to dine at this establishment yesterday but between the slow service and the not so good food I decided to leave. The server recommended grilled chicken as my protein but when the food arrived after my first bite I was extremely disappointed. When I explained my disappointment to the server she offered me a substitute protein when my only wish was not to pay for anything at all! I will not return

Today was out of control. The older, short woman begin arguing with me by stating, "what did you think it was free?"Story:Went to have a lunch meeting with a potential hire. The waitress bought us chips and salsa. I told her we may not order anything. She said, ok. She took 20 mins to even come back and check. When she did, we said, no, we are not ordering. And said ok. So we proceeded to leave and said, "goodbye. Thank you." They stopped up and said you will pay $5 plus tax for the chips. I asked, why didn't you say that when I said we may not order....? I would have gave you bank the chips you chose to bring. The older Mexican short heavy set old woman begin accusing me of not wanting to pay. She was mimicking me and rolling her eyes, slamming stuff. I am doing an immigration check now to see if any is here illegally. You better hope you're not. YOU GOT YOUR NERVES!!!! DONT EAT HERE!!!!!!!!!I never did a review when I had hair in my good and food poisoning---but now!!!! I am reporting everything!!!!! The whole gang came out the kitchen and begin yelling at me. YALL MUST BD CRAZY!!! I hope you have your green cards. So Stupid.

Holy guacamole, this may be the best Mexican food I've ever had. Their chunky guacamole is out of this world & I had the enchiladas rodeo which was amazing. The family had quesadillas & burritos & we re equally impressed. Service was polite & attentive & bathrooms were clean also. Will come again & again when in town!
