Well y'all, I really did have high hopes for this one! This restaurant/ grill is found in the lobby of the Holiday Inn located in Guin, Alabama. The Hotel is fairly priced with pleasant professional business decor. The restaurant offers a decent amount of fine appeal. There are definitely not a lot of choices in this area for an upscale dining experience. There are a few fast food options available but you have to drive a bit to find any kind of original menu. Check out my other reviews for this area. My Aunt, Uncle and their kids flew in from California to join the rest of the family for a small reunion. We were really looking forward to eating together at Grill 22, despite the mixed, inconsistent reviews. It seems that people are saying it's "Hit or Miss".Lisa and I split the Caesar Salad and the Boneless Wing Sampler. Mom had the BLT Wrap with the Pub chips. Aunt K. and her fam had the Chipotle chicken salad, Chicken Caesar salad, Fried Pickles, and the adult kids had the Hot Wings. The room was not crowded at 7:30 pm and I did count three servers and a bartender. It all started with the YELP coupon. On the app, if you "check in" you get 50% any appetizer. After speaking to her colleagues, our server told us they don't honor third party coupons. I don't know what that means but OKAY. After we ordered the server informed us they had run out of Jalapeño Ranch, Caesar, and Chipotle Ranch dressing, so we had to go with plain Ranch on EVERYTHING. Unfortunately the server did not bring some items, including Lisa's entree. I had to walk to the bar, where she seemed to be covering the bartender, to ask for our food and she responded as if she was very annoyed. Yikes!The service continued to be lagged and uncomfortable. Sadly, the food was not very pleasant. Mom said her wrap was just OKAY, the salads were all similar when added with House Ranch, the boneless wings arrived cold and were definitely not prepared freshly. The sauces were not tasty but rather reminiscent of preprocessed bulk inventory. The cousins reported soggy but edible hot wings. Although, I do have to say, the fried pickles and the Pub Chips were delicious and paired nicely with the RANCH dressing. Well, I would have to say for us it was a "Miss"! As I read in a few other reviews, the restaurant is undoubtedly understaffed and the service is sluggish. I guess J would recommend this establishment for convenience and the prices are reasonable enough. Sorry Grill22, you need to "step it up".I did get the opportunity to speak with management the next morning and they were very appreciative I was able to share my experiences with them. They assured us they will be accepting the YELP Coupon in the future as well as addressing the ongoing issues. Ms. Lisa is very proud of her breakfast buffet and encouraged our family to give it a try. I will follow up in the next post!

Great staff, priced not bad at all... But the reason that I wrote a review is cuz it was just a burger but it tasted so good! Just amazing, And so with the picture as ya'll can see I reminded myself to post a review because at the moment that I bit into it I just was really appreciative of how great it tasted. On point and right on time!

Given that this place is located in the middle of nowhere with few to no other restaurants or options nearby, I probably can't complain. Keeping that in mind, this was great to have; judging without that in mind, it was just average. I had the breakfast buffet with my room, and it was fine, though mostly flavorless to be honest. The only item I really could taste flavor in were the breakfast potatoes. Others have mentioned the bacon, but I don't eat so perhaps it was good as well.I also had dinner here during one of my nights staying at the Holiday Inn this restaurant is a part of. It had some more flavor but still was pretty average. I had their ribeye special, and it was pretty chewy, again with not much flavor. The rice pilaf had no flavor, and their fries were fine.If there were other options in the area, I probably would only go with the breakfast that came with my room, but I suppose it's fine given there isn't really anything else to choose from.

Better than most Holiday Inns. This restaurant is in the Guin Holiday Inn. We were in Wayfield to get our RV worked on and spent two days here. The breakfasts were excellent. No complaints about the food. The staff honestly made me feel like I was special. They were very attentive and checked on me often. If you are here, the place is worth trying.

Their buffet breakfast and dinner is great. Their service was excellent! CLEAN everything and beautiful atmosphere!

When on the road, It's nice to unwind and have a good meal after a long day and then head up to your room. Grill 22 has Thursday Wings night: $.50 cents boneless or $.75 cents bone in. I tried 4 but got a few extra due to size. The Ceasar Salad with Shrimp was good.. the shrimp was cooked perfectly and was complimented by the Blue Moon on draft, garnished with orange. The slice of Cheesecake for the room later with coffee was delicious! #dietwhatdiet It's my second time staying at the Holiday Inn in Guin and eating at the Grill 22. Overall a good experience and friendly service. It keeps me coming back.

Great food and great service. Quiet and peaceful...only one television on and volume was only load enough for those sitting at the bar. All of the food had excellent flavor. Everything was cooked perfectly. For this to be a restaurant within a hotel, they are doing a phenomenal job! Would definitely visit again even if I wasn't staying in the hotel when traveling through this area.

Great breakfast and friendly service at Grille 22 located in the Holiday Inn hotel. This place has a great atmosphere at night with dinner and drinks for those that like an adult beverage after work. Easy to just come back to the hotel get cleaned up and relax out by the pool area then head in for a nice dinner.

Let's start with the most important thing. Food was really good. Steak and shrimp appetizer was on point. Service was only downside. We were there for over 2 and a half hours. They were understaffed of course just like anywhere you go nowadays.
